I was reading online and people argue full throttle, some say just enough throttle to not kill the engine, and the PTO will last forever. I picked this up last weekend for $600. Has almost 1200HRS on it and has a 23HP Kawasaki. Needed a new electric clutch because a stick had grabbed the wires and ripped them off flush. It came with the new clutch too though. I ordered a few deck pulleys due to worn out bearings, changed oil, filters, sharpened blades, greased it and cleaned it up....and I love it. It's nothing fancy but I have just a little over an acre so I could never spend the big $$ you all are talking about on a new mower anyway. This is a Cadillac compared to the 90's model zero turn I was running. Apparently the company is now owned by Gravely and I see alot of the parts are the same as Gravely.
Curious if the OP found anything yet?? Also, since so many guys have these mowers I had a question not worth starting a thread on, so I will partially derail yours. When engaging the PTO for the deck, do you all have the engine at full throttle, have throttle, what?
