So ya--should be able to attempt to fire it off tonight,,,,,

BTW, I was able to find someone else to run the driveshafts over to Best Driveline (yeah I know not your favorite) for me this afternoon so they should be ready to be picked up on Monday. I will have my friend call you so he can meet you somewhere Monday afternoon.

Thanks, Bill

Well--I got everything ready--figured I would crank it till I got oil pressure--and god damn if the starter just goes CLICK!!! Check voltage---good. I rip the starter off and tear it apart--typical toyota grooved contacts so I clean it all up and test the now working starter.

I throw it back in and crank till I get oil pressure :awesomework:

Hook everyhting back up I unplugged--and the fawker fired off :cheer:

WAHOO!!! So Mike, did you get a knock sensor or do we still need one?

FRANKIE !!! CALL ME PLEASE !!!

Driveshafts are at Best Driveline. They will be ready Monday afternoon. Anything else we need Mike? You get the ARB stuff yet? Should I just order a complete ARB third with 4.88 gears so you can drop in? Lemme know....

Thanks, Bill

Frankie dropped off the cable and pully. I told him to get ahold of you...

As for the third--I am hoping chris gets ahold of me in the next day...

Gettin' closer 'eh??? Saweet!!! You get any teaser vid of the inaguraul firing of the motor???:stirpot:

Let me know asap, because if needed I can order a complete (assembled) ARB/4.88 third from TG.

The other option is to throw a spool in it for now....

So whats the latest news Mike? Did you get the ARB parts you needed? Shall I order the ARB install kit from TG? Want to throw a spool in there instead? Do I need to order a complete third?

Lemme know.... :;

BTW....Frankie, was good reading that you would be calling me....would be great if you actually do! :fawkdancesmiley: :haha:

Ok playing catchup--I have been working as hard as I can to get it DONE!!!

Here is the motor with all the vacuum ports plugged--I still need to make a vent hose from the valve cover to the throttle body.

Here are the EGR blockoff plates I made.

So frankie dropped off the throttle cable.

As you can see--MUCH longer.

Here is how I chose to install it--by simply drilling 2 holes.

Now I have also found this in the past--the distance from the firewall to the pedal assy is shorter on the 1st gen pickups so you will need to modify the arm on the pedal assy.

Stock form.

As you can see you just need to bend it a tad to give you some adjustment on the cable
