that's about as close as you can get from the Alabama side. that hotel is right off hwy 72e

So... hotels are 20 miles away... and I can't get a motor-house in to "camp"... Maybe this is the reason I've never been here.

I aint real sure that you just slap cant get in there. I aint been there many times and never paid attn to how rough it is, but I dont recall it being as bad as MSORP was and JohnG got his **** in there several times, although he got stuck once haha. Think that was the weekend I first met him and kicked his shine over. And of course its been nearly 2 years since i been to hale so my memories a bit fuzzy on the fine details.

I got 2 weeks to find a battery charger.

I put a 11" Rancho lift kit (blocks) from Autozone in the front so I'll be real good at rampin' up obstacles with the weepow speed, like that tricky waterfall trail and the bottom of whiskey still. I call it the rocket ship effect. Hope somebody has got a camera to catch my rocket ship wheelies on film!

its not that bad to get an RV up there. they have hookups. I know there have been several RVS and fifthwheels up there. I would say you will be fine and the hill into the park isnt as bad as mountainside.

Axles for the bug remover will be here Friday. If I can chunk them in, get some kinda power steering going and get one bead to stick, I am in.
