So the Jeep has treated me well but its time to upgrade, so Im building my first buggy. Ive spent some time doing some research and building some skills with my Bend tech pro program to work out some bugs on my couch rather than waste tube in my garage.

My plans are 108" WB
32" rails 48" at the rockers
Dana 60s that are under my jeep
6.0 vortec
th350 with a 5.0 to 1 atlas
2.0 14" fox shocks and other buggy stuff yada yada

Thanks man Im excited to keep going on it. I plan to set in a mock up drivetrain this weekend and continue some more tube work.

Because I already have the atlas, hopefully its not to low
That's a good reason.

But I have 4.56s in my D60s, with a 4.3 Atlas. Unless it's a dedicated rock-crawler, I'd not go 5.0 in the Atlas.

I'm a TH400 with a V8. I'm guessing your not that far off.

Remember, with that big, high hp V8, you've got the ponies to easily run a much lower T-case. If I was building that, I'd go with a 3.8 max.

But I'm not you. Build it any way you want. Just my (worthless) 2 cents.

Well I have my atlas currently behind a ax15 which has something like a 3.5 or 3.8 first gear and around a 2.4 second gear. Im usually in second gear for most wheeling and 1st with some. The Th350 is 2.5 first and a 1.5 second. With the converter i think itll work just fine.

Few more pictures from today, made a dash bar and finished up most the of back. Tomorrow I plan to set the drivetrain and start making mounts.

FYI to anyone reading I will be making a feeler thread soon concerning the sale of my yj as it will be up for sale this winter.

I was reading the first page and then went to the last and was like :eeek:

It changed drastically in a couple pages :haha:

Nice work, on both rigs

Thanks man! The Buggy is a little bit different, I figured Id add to my old build thread so people might recognize it. Im not very active on the board so if someone was to recognize me it would be from my jeep, not from my screen name.

There ya go Man! Wow, and I didn't even fawk it up!!! :haha:
Rig looks great BTW!!! :awesomework: Curious, Did you get the Matrix stuff from Bunk?:corn:
