A possum is white meat just saying. Pretty tasty barbecued

As I call it.... The other gray meat.
I can remember when I was young, hearing commercials on the radio selling possum pie. I can't remember the name of the supermarket, but I think it was out of Knoxville.
I have a bumper sticker on one of my trucks "Eat More Possum" It kinda freaks people out up this way.... Po people up here eat muskrat, some conciser the brain the best part. I find the meat taste like your chewing on a marsh reed.

I've ate just about every animal around, but never a opossum, muskrat taste like liver to me, beaver is good barbecued, my dads buddy took the bone out the coons **** and dried it and put it in his wallet, hell no on the Arkansas toothpick

Yep he dropped live turkeys out of a plane one time true story! Only problem is the farm raised birds couldn't fly. He destroyed cars, put holes in people's roofs etc. he was tuff and smart

They eat horses in the Middle East (or so I hear)

Closest I've had is Zebra... it was about the same as goat.

I had horse in South America several years ago. Tasted like a over cooked salty streak. But that could have been the cook. Had donkey in Honduras once. That was pretty tasty.
