The only advantage I can see is that they seem to build these things to be rolled 2-3 times each time out so there is less chance of a fuel fire.

As for cost, I am sure a $500 GM Gen III can outperform most of the motors I have seen being put in these buggies so I am thinking it is not a cost thing.

I'm with you man. Putting 'pane on a cherry ground up build is kinda like a stripper without fake tits. I don't really know what that means but it makes sense to me. I'd love to see a Jimmy's buggy with a smokin badass Gen III/IV motor. It would run circles around a pane'd out old skool chebby. I will say these guys milk the old skool chebby's for all they are worth though.

i think that they are junk coils but a couple of ideas to fix is to remove the high misalignment spacers in the center of the buggy so the axle wont have as much side to side motion and they are 18" travel 2.5 and i have reduce the limit to 16" I'm going to 14" for the 25th to see if that helps but i don't think it will but in sway-aways defense i was doing stupid stuff when they broke except for once but that could have came from fatigue

Heres one Jimmy just built for my buddy, Its sick as usual.
