my some what new toy build

so the motor that i had turned out to be a pile of scrap metal, along with the other two i had from before. i decided to look around and see what was out there. i thought about rebuilding one of my cores but the price didn't seem to add up right to do it myself. with maching and the new parts(pistons, cam, head work, bearings etc) i was looking at a lot more than i wanted to spend. i also liked the idea of a warranty. i wanted to get a "new" long block with some goodies. i checked a few places and the best price/warranty i found was through oregon engine rebuilders inc. they have 3 stages and they all come with a lifetime unlimited mileage warranty. i went with the stage 3 which consists of a new heavy casted head, swirl polished vavles, 3 angle seats, bronze guides, springs, retainers, keepers, crane cams torque cam(425/IN and 440/EX lift, with a 260IN and 280EX duration), kieth black 9.7:1 pistons, high volume oil pump, new timing cover, and steel timing guide. the power band is said to be idle-4000rpms which should work nicely. it may be squirrel power, but these squirrels are jacked up on mountain dew. i also finally got the rest of my stuff from marlin and through that together lastnight. cant wait to try it out...

hell yea lookin great:awesomework: i just put the same pistons in my 4cyl, hyperutechtic coated? where did you buy your oil pump from? what did your motor run you?

it was 1700. pretty penny but cheaper than everywhere else. plus 10x the warrenty. most other places only have maybe 3 years or 30k miles. how do you like the pistons?

you have their website info with the long block info? i've been looking around for a semi affordable long block.
here is the link to his super stock which is what i got. he will also give you $100-150 for any extra cores you have(after your exchange) which also helped me out on the cost of the motor. i had 2 extra cores along with the exchange motor. seems like a good deal to me. when i went to pick it up he had like 5 or 6 of them (different stages)on the floor ready to ship out.we'll see how it runs:redneck:

i dont have to work tomarrow cause we ran out of good media to pump through the injector nozzles, could be a few days out. so maybe i can talk the ol'man into going and getting the cherry picker. shouldnt take to long to drop it in. i need to get a new pilot bearing and i think thats it. do you think my stock clutch will work? i guess i can try it, i have a few new ones to burn up, its just kidda a pain to pull the tranny and cases now. ya its been a while since i have heard the squirrel wheels turning, and cant wait. this motor hopefully added a few more ponies. if not a fogging of nitrous:awesomework: . just kidding... or maybe not:eeek: . also think i got a hook up on cut and balancing my drive shafts. anyone know where to get .180 wall driveline material for my shafts? i need to find a tree to climb at the house when i get it running. still need to plumb fuel pump and regulator. can you help do that. and of course the 10 miles of rats nest toyota wiring:mad: dave wants to buy my tires. said he would give me 800 for the rubber. time for bigger and beadlocks:redneck: to bad my old 38s were 15.50 instead of 12.50, i would have kept them. fawk but that means it is really gonna be time for cromo 30 splines. guess its time to sell something.

thinkin i need these

think ill break **** or not? only one way to find out...

Fawk it run em!!!! I am at a stand still with my new set, I can't decide between the 42in Iroks, or the new 42in KM2?

Anyways I love your build its coming aloong super nice!! I would say go with the iroks but at the same time I love the new pitbull Rocker tire. . . .
Good luck with the tire choice!:awesomework:

so i think im selling my 35's. i have (4) 35x12.5x15 and a spare that is a 35x14.5x15. the worst of the five tires is atleast 85% and the other 4 are pretty much brand new. they are super swamper ssr. they would be great for a dd/ww. im thinking somewhere around 1000 dollars for all five(rubber only). so if anyone needs a full set of 35's plus a spare send me a pm. the four matching tires are mounted on 6 lug 15x10 steelies, and the spare is mounted on a 15x8 i believe. for an extra 250 you can have the wheels to. reason for selling them is to go bias and a little bigger and fit a 17" wheel. poss. trade for 17" 6 lug beadlocks or good 37-38" rubber.

today a buddy of mine came over and we slaped my motor in. its been a while since it has had a "not fawked up squirrel wheel" in it. cant wait to get it goin, and spin a couple shitties. also mounted fuel pressure regulator and next is the fuel pump. still need to do drivelines and finish bed. think my tax return will cover a new miller 252 mig. cant wait for that either. happy wrenchin:redneck:
