Headin to Reiter on Sat for a shakedown run...

Wish I could get out but I've dedicated my garage to some "fixes" on the buggy... new wheel studs, replace broken transfer case shifter cable, thread insert/new gasket on the 700R4 tranny, installation of Super Short SYE kit on NP231, waiting on new front axle diff cover from Crane, new heims for a few of the links...

Some could probably do this in 2 days but apparently I cannot...guess I'm just not that driven...oh well, I enjoy drinking beer and staring at parts that need to be installed or fixed :booo:

:haha: :haha:

This is funny cause it sounds about the same as my situation- staring at parts and broken jeep **** in the garage hoping it will put itself back together.

I WILL wheel again soon:beer:

yeah, yeah... well, at least a few of those things on my list need to be done before I take it out again. Can't have the front 2 piece driveline floppin' in the breeze any longer and I really don't want to have to shift the T-case with vise-grips clamped to the cable end :mad:

I agree, when i break something i get it fixed during that week so I can go the next weekend.

Yes I wheel alot, but I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

well, I'm not gonna be bringin' a wheeler but I'll be camping up at the Rock Garden this evening with whoever will be there...

Arrived at the "upper lot" around 7:45pm on Friday night...holy &%$#! it was pissin' down rain. That combined with the powerlines crackling and their eery luminescence made for an interesting and somewhat dismal welcome. However, that was before I got to the edge of the rock garden when I turned my lights on a lone soldier under the trees in front of his buggy in high tech "stay-warm/stay-dry" gear...none other than Money Mark. Whew. I knew with Money there and johny5 on the way, it didn't really matter what the conditions were, it couldn't be that bad. And it wasn't. Money and I sat around under the 'easy-up" for a few hours, listening to Zeppelin and discussing today's most riveting topics until my trusty ol boom box crapped out from all the water that had been draining onto it from the canopy...ooops. shortly thereafter, johny5 showed up, got settled in and the evening carried on. The surprise visit from the "mud-whores" was VERY entertaining and made for some good conversation. Thanks Brandy. (she's the perfect woman in many ways and really enjoys making out) :;

Woke up Saturday morning to a bit better weather and Mark M approaching the "nest". Soon after, Nate (Chevota) showed up with the Sex Panther... All of a sudden, I knew this was going to be a good day. Some of the best wheelers were there...even Jeff(Mauler) paid us a visit but I think our slow pace got the best of him and he was outta there. Nonetheless, I was honored to ride ***** with and pulled cable for johny5 in a very comfortable and quite capable buggy. Thanks for comin' down from the north! Some good trail runnin and no major issues while I was with these guys (left around 8pm Saturday evening). Great time. Thank you Mark, Mark, Johny and Nate. It's always a pleasure hanging out with ya'll.

-my taxi for the weekend. Thank you Johny

-that's smoke from a camp fire, not from the buggy...

-gotta burp the baby, it was running a 240 degree fever...

-picture proof that Money does work on his own rig

Sorry I don't have any action shots but with these guys, it's mostly go, go, go...short break...go, go, go, go. hard to get the action pics.

:beer: <--- X about 10/+ (at least I think that's how many I counted under my chair on Friday night)

Right on Terry......

So the girls came back at 7-8pm. We gingerly drive up to the Wall Trail, blast my AWESOME collection of Top 40 music and have Brandy entertain us.:beer: :bananadance: :5bitch: ......ok, maybe not the last part.:redneck:

We screwed around in the tree maze there and long story (night) short, she broke 2 and stripped 2 steering studs. Stock toyota steering. We (they) get it "fixed" start to get out to the road and ****ing demolish a rear tire........****. All three of us buggies have to get jumped by the other. Damn batteries.:looser: Get out to the road finally, her steering is ****ed. I tow her back (with no steering for her:eek:) to camp. Drive the girls home @ 5am. And get to bed by sun up.

Man! She is a trooper and her friends did great with the looooooooong recovery. MarkM. and Johny did fine with it.........little sand in the mangina, but understandable.:rolleyes: :haha:

Fun weekend.:beer:

Of course, I leave just before all the good stuff happens. Glad you all got out of there okay nonetheless.

Were you compensated in any way for the girls' taxi ride back home? :haha: :;

I 'm not sure fixing the knuckle in the mud at 3AM on her toyota three ****ing times was the fun part but it was something that had to be done.
Next time I'm bringing a stripper pole so they have something to dance around instead of a hy-lift jack.:D

Do you have any pics Mark to post up? Think I remember you snappin' em from time to time...

Couple of pic. A friend from work came up for a first run in his bronco and broke out his window. Good job tim and johnny welding on marks rig in the rain. Good to see you again terry. Hurry up and get your rig going.

Funny on our way out we helped a couple girls get their 85 up onto their trailer, snapped tierod and driveline... :awesomework: no :5bitch: though :booo:

That was Brandy......I forgot to mention the other issue we had with her recovery. Both times we jacked up her rig to get the knuckle "fixed" we forgot to slip the front driveline back in.....:mad:

And it wasn't the tierod that was broken.....it was the knuckle....damn Toyotas.:redneck:

MarkM.....where were those last two pics taken? Looks fun!!! :redneck:
