Snohomish yo!
Just wondering what the employment/unemployment "reality" is around here.

P.S. This poll will not show who voted for what in case you are sensitive about your status.

Self employed but damn its slow :booo: Might actualy have to advertise soon. Havent had to do that for 20 years

I work here and there sometimes, I consider myself "barely" employed but not totally unemployed.

So I have lots of time for working on my rig, but not so much money for parts.

X2 here. It picked up last month but its slowing down again. Jan and feb i thought i was going to lose my business.

September will be 10 years for me and things are looking very reliable. However I want to get into the electrical apprenticeship where I'm sure I will have some down time. Hopefully will be a good choice in the end

no one is safe around here at the moment it seems.. But i've survived a few rounds of layoffs so far.

I have three jobs at the moment. The first one has told told me I am the last to go if they start laying people off, which they have promised they are not doing. Instead they just aren't rehiring for the dumbasses that quit/get fired. That job pays the bills, and the other two pay for vacations, etc.

Fully Employed, for the moment, but in 31 calednar days I will no longer be employed and I am actual looking forward to it.

Retirement, :awesomework: I can, but won't Wheel every day, unless we count Web Wheeling!! :fawkdancesmiley:

Have they sent you out to mow the lawn yet? I saw one of the techs out mowing the strip on the road the other day...

That was a lot lizard :haha:

I will only clean my stall--anything beyond that is not my job....

I would be pretty dumb to fire myself. (even though I have thought about it before...)

Actually we just hired another person on.

stabely employed. But there have been many times over the years I have wanted to tell my boss where to put it, but I stuck it out and now I am thankful...because I've been loyal to the company they have been loyal to me.

I should have a job unless the doors close. Been pretty sketchy last couple months, LOTS of overhead and little to no field work.... but we're still here and things are starting to pick up, there's work to bid now and job waiting in the wings. Plus our credit line got renewed so in effect we're all good.

As long as the next [many] few jobs come in under budget to make up the losses

WaMu'ed december 1st.

our contract was killed on the big March 31st lay-off date.

I did some sharepoint training for work last week and there were two guys with WaMu badges, I asked how long they had...both were out in June and wanted to learn Sharepoint so they could put it on their resumes.
