full size wheelin at evans

i havent been to evans for 25 years since i had my jeep.i built a full size truggy type truck,with 37's, reverse shackles, not sky high,frame width flat bed.not afraid of body damage ,but can i manuver up there?or some good trails elsewhere.

There is a guy with a fullsize Chevy on 2.5 ton axles and 54" tires that goes to Evans. If you can't fit just back out and try a different trail.

I have a fullsize and havent found anywhere too tight to get through up there although mine isnt very straight either. Its also a short wheelbase (for a fullsize) Have fun. I would go with but I still have a broken axle :booo:

If you run the 197 IIRC have a chain saw as there is a tree that I think would be too low for a fullsize. It fell down and is over the whole trail. When you planning on goin?

Evans is not full size friendly and I hope it remains that way. It can be done but body damage, possibly major, should be expected with a full bodied rig.

I know people who have made it in fullsize rigs. So it doesn't bother me to see one up there. But, I hope I see some body damage on your rig, and don't hear chain saws in the woods. As long as you don't puss out, and cut trees down becouse you are afraid of folding your rig up I could care less. But Evans isn't as tight as it used to be, and most people don't want it opened up anymore, just so pretty boys can wheel there moms SUV in there.

It sounds like your not worried about body damage, so you will be fine. My tyrad above was for any other fullsize guys to mull over.

That tree is pretty low but pretty tall yotas on 38s fit under it so you should be able to fit.

I personally think full size wheelers are bad ass and dont have a problem with full size rigs as long as they stick to the trail. Unfortunatley they are a few full size guys out there that cant stick to the trail and ruin everyone elses opinion of full size guys. Id say go for it and find out for your self if your not afraid of a little body damage you should be fine. Iv seen plenty of full size rigs make evans.

There are a few jeepers that drink too much and dont always stay on the trail, but I dont think we should look down on all jeepers for it.

see how easy and unfairly that is turned around? We all 4x4, a jeep is a 4x4, a a chev is a 4x4, who cares?

The spots where people have cut the trail is really not the fullsize guys, but those who dont want to wait on them, or anyone else. Alot of the the cut throughs are too small to be blaimed on fullsize rigs. I have seen rigs of all types and sizes cut the trail to pass two or three slower rigs.
