ah ya cut it in half...:rolleyes::fawkdancesmiley: anyways my current sub box is very close in dimensions to the one in your truck but i am going to need to make one that will tilt the subs up or back how ever you want to look at it.. atlest 10-15 degrees

Heres a simple tutorial of how to make a small fiberglass box, It is pretty simple to do this too! You can direct the speakers any which way you would like. The internet is your friend, there is much more detailed tutorials available also:awesomework:

fiberglass is a messy waste of time. Its not a good dampening material. It is flimsy and vibrates unless its thick enough to not vibrate then it just as heavy as a wood box. most glass boxes have wood in them to make them rigid and not resonate.

I have built hundreds of boxes in years past and only and I mean ONLY use fiberglass in rigs where there is no space or its to tight or you cant fit a built box in the truck opening.

before you keep suggesting a messy expensive complicated mess, build one out of glass yourself and see if you still reccomend it in a big ol square box friendly 4 runner.

If you use the proper materials it will not be flimsy & weak, You would be suprised how good fiberglass boxes actually sound. They also look alot nicer than a carpeted box, another down side to a wood box in a wheeler is if it gets wet the wood is going to get water logged and could possibly start to mold. :rolleyes:

As for sound dampening that is not true , it can vary depending on the type of fiberglass mat you are using. Working with fiberglass is not that complicated, It can be messy if you make it messy. I work with fiberglass every day so i know whats involved.
