So what is "Jeeping"? It's obviously different from 4-wheeling or off-roading since it's not under the same name...So....What is it?:corn:

I would have to say "Jeeping" is in the same genre as "Camping"...

There are many ways to enjoy each hobby that both go from the mild to the wild. There is no wrong way to do each as it is dependent on the person. We can add "offroad", "wheeling", "Hiking", and "Biking"... All generalities

Jeeping = kinda like wheeling, but with a jeep..expect long delays while repairs are made

You see, when you are "off-roading" or "4-wheeling", your are just out in you car on a sunday stroll on a bumpy road.

"Jeeping", or "jeepin", you are out in your badass mutha-f@#&in jeep, conquering all the toughest trails, and runnin over Toyotas that may be in the way.

Many have confused the term "jeepin" with your modern day off-road adventures, involving some of the more mildly built/less capable rigs. When in fact "jeepin" is used to describe the most challenging/extreme quests to climb over every obsticle and tackle every trail forwards and reverse(sometimes even sideways).

Funny cause when ol' Gramps went Jeepin it ment taking the ol' flat fender Willy's up in the hills to go fishin'...

Webster Online Dictionary says:

Jeep(Jeeping):

To travel by Jeep.

So basically this is the same as going to the backyard and sitting in a lawn chair.:eeek:

back when toyota was still is ashes and landrover tried rebodying jeeps, the jeep was the only capable off road vehicle and so it was king of the off road adventures. jeeping became the term to off road just like xerox was to photo copying and harley is to all the aftermarket domestic v-twin copies.

you can thank our sport to the gi's that came back from WW2 and bought the surplus jeeps and started "jeepin' ".:awesomework:

So when you're soon relegated to wheelin the wife's mini-van do we get to come up w/ a new term for that? Or you may still be able to use the term jeepin in spirit.....but while doin the TUCK.

"Jeeping" could be any quality time spent with your Jeep. Most likely underneath it making repairs in the very back of the trailer park laying underneath your Jeep in the dirt. If you're lucky your Jeep is supported by a stack of old fence lumber high enough for you to get your beer gut under there far enough to reach all of the starter bolts.:haha::flipoff:

Yeah, I dont think her minivan will be wheelin much. Then again, it will be the only rig I could take out, so, maybe.......:stirpot:

Thats the enjoyment level its should be, because you can do a lot of stuff while sitting down in a lawn chair. Am i not correct?

Jeepin is for people who only like jeeps and only run with jeeps. Usually talk crap about the toyota, suzuki, chevy, ford, isuzu, mitsubishi, and yugo's. They tend to run with only jeeps being closed minded.. Wheelers are the people that dont care what you wheel as long as your sh!t can handle the trails your on. Being able to work on your rig is a big part as well.. I dont know many people that can work on their own 05 rubicon. I wheel with my dad usually in his 03 wrangler he's an old school jeeper but has become open minded. I think if you only like jeeps, toyota's, etc your a vehicle racist! :fawkdancesmiley::fawkdancesmiley:
