It looks like you made a broach out of an axle shaft by turning a taper and grooves. I am going to be amazed if that is what you did.

yes from old d60 longfield/rcv shaft.

got stuck and engine seals leaked muddy sandy water inside.
enough to block oil filter and destroy oil pump.
changed oil and filter today and i have lost half of the oil pressure….time to pull engine out

Great looking driveshaft!! Now I know this is probably a dumb question and I am sure there is a reason but why are your splines on the lower end? I always run mine on the upper end so they don"t get chewed up on rocks or as full of mud.

Thanks, I'm very happy with the quality and the price of the shaft.

Well the last shaft that was in there the splines were at the upper end, but it made it really hard to grease it. I talked to Keith at ORC and he suggested to run it the way I am now. I'm not really worried about mud, but if I see that it's gonna hit some rocks then I might turn it around.
