I am aware. The US would replace that population in 5 years or less. Remember, that # is only if every single person caught it. (Not gonna happen). There have be multiple pandemics that have wiped out 30% or more of populations. This is minor in comparison.

Yes the US would replace that population in 5 years, but they would not be replaced with smarter people. Which is a real problem long term.

Well my woman was in a wreck this evening and shattered her L1 vertebrae and has to have emergency surgery. Guess who is not allowed into see her. I’m freaking out. All we can do is text and talk. She’s absolutely miserable and not 1 family member can hug her and tell her it’s gonna be ok. And she’s smack dab in the middle of this virus bull**** in a big city hospital. Gonna be long couple days and weeks probably:mad:

Man I hate to hear that. We’ll be praying for a speedy recovery. Sorry man.

I saw on Facebook where Jimmy Smith posted that his grandson passed away. I’m not sure if it was because of all this or not. But, He said he was on a ventilator on Friday. I can’t even imagine. Not sure if he’s a member on here or not. But Jimmy, I’m so sorry for your loss.

Well we know 5 people total that have had the virus. Nobody needed to hospitalize. And all have recovered. After talking to them it sounds bad.
Hopefully nobody elese catches it. But I don't think that is going to happen. And I wish the dam news and our government would tell us the truth for once instead of playing dam politics and trying to figure out what they can get out this and trying to figure out how the blame Trump.

How's everything going between surgery and recovery?

My work has extended our telecommuting time through May 1st with week to week decisions after that. Wife doesn't go back to working from work until mid-May at the earliest.

Well she ended up with a shattered L1 and fractured T2-4 vertebrae, had surgery Monday night and they kicked her out Wednesday night due to the virus, she’s suffering pretty bad but making small improvements, she can’t do anything except sit in the recliner, and to top it off they won’t do therapy cause of the virus, trying to get home therapy figured out and set up, been a very trying week and a half, my boy was in icu last week for 2 days as well and couldn’t get in to see him either. I’m very thankful neither got the virus, I’m not sure she will ever work again, definitely won’t be going off-roading no more (n)
Thanks for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.

Good to know on small improvements and hate to read about suffering in pain. Medically y'all are in the middle of some bad timing all around (not that there is really any good timing for medical issues).

I work at the ambulance service in Huntsville. we're slow as ****. We're gonna be out of a job and if we dont pick up call volume soon. Went from 250 calls a day to less than 100 for the past 6 weeks.

The er is dead. Nobody is going. I'd rather open up everything back to normal and let's get this purge out the way. I'll take my chances.

400+ are laid off from our regional hospital.

even with the “big”influx of positive cases in nursing homes, most are asymptomatic...

Tomorrow is when our company makes an “announcement” they have paid us this far as auto makers are still down.... I expect a week to two week furlough. I’m prepared with money.
Just wished I knew where the cards may fall...

All my events have cancelled up till the 4th of July...
Anyone want to rent a carnival for their kids birthday party?

Dropped 30-some'odd hourly workers, 2 Supervisors, a Manager and a Clerk at my home away from home. Management is taking a 5% pay cut.

We were told we needed to trim 4 million dollars out somewhere this year.

They cut all temp employees at the wifes office, and stopped matching 401k for the remainder of the year, so far.

My work can't keep workers. They want to do temp to hire in the warehouse but everyone is just wanting to do temp until they can go back to their normal work. Gun industry is turned on it's head right now. But talking to a guy that's been in the industry for decades he said this will kill the industry for 2+ years one the panic buying stops. But nice thing one of my dealers sent me a free gun the other day. Waiting at my local FFL.

Had a job site shutdown today and 2 of my guys were sent to get tested. 3rd site site since all this started. We have to corn teen them for 48 hours even if they come back negative. Bad thing is due to HIPA laws they can't tell us what trade on the site tested positive (2 people but not mine). This needs to end soon and when it does things are going to be weird for a good while. Had my aunt, technically not anymore because she dumped my deadbeat uncle, and her husband in ATL test positive but they both recovered. She's a respiratory therapist at a hospital there so I'm sure she'll get exposed again and probably get it again.

Well work just cancelled our big dealer show in August. ****ing sucks because 2 days worth of work was literally 20-25% of my sales all year so that's a big kick in the ****.

Especially when it is canceled over something that isn't much worse than flu season....

Can I ask you a question. Does anyone have an actual family member that’s been infected?
Not your cousins aunts doctor, but actual first hand relative?

Not a relative, but one of my best friend's 4 year old daughter had a CONFIRMED case of it. She was "over" it in about 3 days. Mildish fever and diarrhea. None of the other 3 family members showed any signs of anything once so ever.

My aunt in a rest home caught it, she's 88, she's doing better and recovering now.

2 of the works had confirmed cases, infecting 12 others in the home including the aunt.

She technically isn't my aunt anymore because she left my dumbass uncle but her and he husband, both have recovered now. She works at Piedmont Hospital in ATL as a respitory therapist so no big shock that she'd get it and expects to get it again. Said it was a lot like the flu, coming out both ends and fever.

My brother in law...... he is a fireman. He left Sunday from Texas to head to Colorado. Got there and was nasty sick. Son and son in law showed up couple hours later. Son next day drove him back to Texas. He was tested and confirmed. He is vomiting and feels like he has been beat. Has fever. He is in bed and isolated in there house. Family now all on quarantine.

I have had 4 customers tell me they were positive and 3 have recovered.

My aunt just got got her antibody test back. She had this is January. So it’s been here longer than thought. There are 6 cases now in Ohio confirmed in January

I want to get the test...as we suspect we got it from Disney World in Feb.
