That is badass! Couple of questions though.....what engine does it have, and where are you located? Oh yeah, how many miles on the truck?

Does the the bed tilt/raise up like a roll back....or do you have to use ramps to load a rig?
 
Very cool truck! Purely out of curiosty, does it require any special registration due to GVWR/brakes/etc?

Good question. I have the truck registered to carry less than 10,000lbs. Registration is the same cost as my wife's 2500 GMC. You can increase the registration weight if you want to carry more. No CDL or any special type of license to drive the truck as long as its for personnel use. Thats why you see trucks like these pulling race trailers that say not for hire. I have my my insurance through Safeco. It's insured as a pleasure vehicle and on the road less than 10,000miles a year. Insurance runs about $100 a month I think. Air brakes are easy to use and work really well. I think they are more safe than hydraulic. If you loose air pressure the brakes will automatically apply. Air pressure pushes back a big spring on each rear wheel to release the brakes so if pressure drops the brakes will start to apply.

Good to know there. I know registration will vary depending on one's location (State and County) and intended use (Personal or Commercial) so was just curious.
 
A TN State Trooper / DOT Sargent told me that an 18 wheeler could be a daily driver in TN with no CDL as long as it it for personal use and not for making money. Racing to win money and having sponsors crosses over the commercial line. I am definitely a fan of medium duty trucks with air brakes.

That's how it was explained to me by two County Clerk's and a THP Officer as well.
