Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

Now I have tires and this pretty box. Need to get out of bed and go toss some of these parts on.

Hop to it! About 25 days to go.
Tomorrow is my work day. I’m not too worried at this point. If I’m in the same spot two weeks from now, the worry will settle in. I’m going back and forth on steel wheels instead of aluminum bead locks. I just don’t see the need for bead locks with red labels

You could get steelies for now and add the diy beadlock rings later if you feel like you need them.

I have wheels with no tires on them, but that shall change this week. Engine in, trans, x-fer case in. Seat lowered, new radiator and fan. Other stuff. But and bolt check before weeks end and a test run at Stony this coming Sunday.

Anyone have a place to sleep? I am easy to please, just as long as its not the small spoon. I have dollars and a few sense.

Since the pictures were taken, it has a name and an engine that will move it.

If Kel's driving strategy pays off, it'll upset some feelings.
If it doesn't, it'll make for a fun time watching.

80% of solid axle and 100% of rear steer rigs will put me to shame so I'm hoping for the

@Kel what are you building?

This little guy....I wouldn’t worry about it hurting feelings. It’s lucky to get on and off the trailer after I took the Stevie Wonder rockcrawling driving school.

Looks like we will be there for this ride! Can’t wait!
Apparently this is becoming one of “the rides” to go to. It’d be nice to get a ton of videos and pictures up before and after. Put a rig with a name from as many people that are going. I think mines in the comments above. I also think that I will probably have more dents and dings than the rest of you after this ride.

Have you seen @Mattman347's explorer?

You'll love it!

That's what I've always been told too. Between work and previous offroad vehicles (XJ and RzR), we haven't been able to come up to Haraln before, so with the juggy and working from home we will finally get to go up to Harlan and be there for the Memorial Ride.

Whelp, less than a week before I pull into Harlan. Tossing an exhaust and intake gasket on. Gonna nut and bolt check tomorrow and then Stony for a shakedown run. Pretty excited for this cooler weather....I need to check the weather to see if I need to bring a roof.

And mainly because I like typing to myself. Nut and bolt check was started. Replacing intake and exhaust gaskets done. Let’s run it for a minute to let it get to temp before finishing the bolt check and running it around the yard. What could go wrong starting this big block?
