Rockwell Shaft - Long Side

Rockwell Shaft - Long Side $75obo - you arrange and pay for shipping.
This is from a set of Boyce Equipment's Gen II Chromoly's I purchased March 2019. Destroyed the short side (nope, i'm not adjusting my driving style), so the short side is not available. As can be seen in the picture the splines on the inner shaft are twisted but go in and out of the carrier. I am pretty confident I twisted it on day one of a three day ride when i blew up the other side and it held up for 2.5 more days of aggressive riding so if someone is looking for a cheap spare or whatever, this should be ok for a lower hp rig.

shoot me straight - does this thing have any value to anyone beyond scrap price? maybe just for the short shaft?

the only way I'd swap that one into my rig is if I was broke in a place that 100% required 4wd to recover the rig.

if the stub isn't twisted, you could probably sell the stub+ujoint for more $, and someone would actually pay for shipping

if someone wants the stub and u-Joint, I would gladly cut the long shaft down to the yoke.

i agree, that's why it came out when the other side completely broke. I have two spare stock sets sitting in the shed, otherwise I would keep it as a spare myself. For a short two day trip, I don't bother packing the spares. I'll just drive around with 3 wheel drive before I spend the time to swap. When we go for a week-long trip I pack the spares. Of course I have only ever broke shafts on short trips. :dunno:
