Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

Convenience, ease of use, and look at me has pulled people away from forums. The facebook app is really easy to use and stream lined but not many forums have apps and / or harder to find the subforum they are after. Talk tap only allows a person to upload x number of photos per month or they have to pay. It doesn't help that the forums have been bought by companies to squeeze every dime they can out of them through ads and other measures.

Do you want a yuppie from California (with a Honda Mule) "fixing" this forum? I guess we know you're Biden/Harris 2020 4 Life!
Personally if someone can actually fix a problem, Not Band AID it but truly fix it, I dont give a crap where or what they are about. IF I cant do it then git the **** done. America was built by people from somewhere else that believed in fixing **** that was broke. We just need to get back to our roots and quit holding hands with everyone that needs a hug cause their feelings are butt hurt that they arent thought of as the best thing since sliced bread becuase they woke up and successfully dressed themselves today.

Haha! Say one post and it last a lifetime, but not sure where you got the idea I’m from California. Never been called a yuppie, but I’ve been called worst.

There is no "fix" y'all. The way to bring it back is to bring back those that used to be active by creating more quality posts. Period

This is somewhat accurate. We must grow the community. But there is a few things to help that out.

We start offering free hard candies at the door? I love it

A lot of us still wheel, a lot of us have buggy projects and whatnot going on. Just post up about it. If you're building something, start a build thread. Find a cool fix to a common problem, post it up in tech and fab ( I remember when I first got into this scene years ago, one of the coolest threads I found was how to disk brake swap a toyota rear end for less than $100) . Show us your new tow rig. Everything doesn't have to be 1500 horsepressure, rear steering, hog hunting, $150k+ deals to be cool. Someone rags on your build or sale ad, tell them to piss off.. (unless you're being a ****, then we'll run you off :giggle:).

This forum has the best layout and ease of use that I've ever seen it have. I wouldn't even use FB to sell stuff if people actually bought stuff off here. I know A LOT of you guys personally and there is some really cool stuff going on with builds that no one is sharing. Did you guys know that 3 Reject Fab buggies came in the top 5 at the SRRS race yesterday? Those buggies are built about 20 minutes from where I live, pretty cool stuff. Everyone just contribute... That's how we "fix/save" it :drinkers:

and for the love of god, someone buy that Jduck roller that's for sale on here and finish it out.. that's a steal

No one wants to see my current project of clearing trees and burning brush piles.

if there is still places to wheel in a couple years after we get the house built, I’ll be back to posting some junkyard build.

Forums are definitely slower but not all of them are dead (RIP Pirate). The user interface and ability to post pictures on here is the easiest it has ever been since I joined.

Here are a few ways I can think of to keep this place active/have more activity.
*Create a thread in Trail Rides for every single trip. Never know who else wants to wheel that weekend or who else forgot about a park/didn't know about a park until pictures are posted. After a trip, post some pictures and a brief write up about the trip.

*Create a build thread for anything (Nick's tree cutting and fire burning for a house, trail rigs, trailers, tow rig changes/fixes, old equipment, etc) and that can be for junkyard tech or high dollar tech.

*Bring back more Chit Chat etc. If you don't want to look at TonyB's or JD's beer glass pictures just keep on scrolling instead of trying to run them off/tell them what to post or not post. Tell road trip stories, cool places to visit, local eateries or must visit places, etc.

*All in all, it can be summed up as "More wheeling and less bull****".

pinnacle might be a stretch......I can think of a diff forum that would have taken that ***le with all the tech that was present....which most users have now left for a new forum.... But I would say 2 things, selling out forums and also the social media platforms....for old tech, the death of photobucket has hurt many.

That drives me insane when I'm searching for something, finally find a thread and it's covered up with "photobucket" logos on all the pictures.

the pics for my first build thread were hosted on myspace...
No joke, I was one of the first couple hundred people on the myspace. Checked it a couple years ago and they added badges at some point. I had an "OG" badge and there was still some Norma Jean playing in the background.

I never knew you liked Metalcore. You are a really hard person not to like. Derail, but Norma Jean was never a "top" band for me personally, but I have seen them live 3 times and everytime they tore the house down!

my yahoo mail got purged, so I have no idea how to access any of that old "turn of the century" internet stuff. :dunno:

I’ve been doing a lot to the Jeep recently. I just don’t figure anyone is interested in a wildly mediocre Cherokee on bald iroks build.

Luke you might be surprised who would want to read about it. I myself have a pile junk that I need to be working on and your build may give me the motivation to work on mine.
Besides I haven't had as much interest in a forum since you and Pokey went at each other.
So start typing away.

not a big poster on here (live on west coast, doing toyota things) and i have no idea what its like here but it seems like this place is big on actual hardcore tech. ill say that the prevailing attitude on pirate makes it hard to participate and ask questions. im finishing building up an 85 toyota surf, been a blast, loved every second of it, but i wouldnt dare post pics or ask questions on there. not worth the negativity. dont get me wrong, theres tons of useful information on there, but its all threads from 10+ years ago. now everyone just seems bitter or something.

Feel free to post all the pics you want here. I've posted ones of my dirt dobber welds and instead of calling me an idiot folks told me how to get better welds. Lots of good people still on here and huge amounts of knowledge.

I heard a rumor that he listened to an entire Lil' Wayne song one time so you may not like him anymore :(

Dude, you don't even know. Back in highschool, my best friend was in a "Hardcore" band called Years At Dawn. I ran sound and lights for them about twice a week. Not quite the same, but Breakin Benjamin opened for them before they were all famous n stuff.

And @ridered3 is correct. I listen to basically everything. But, alot of the rap and stuff came into play when I was a bouncer for a few years.

Get him to play you his wheeling play list. @The Luke what was that song i twerked to at aop

Dangit, it won't let me upload the video. But it was Livin La Vida Loca. HAHAHA

That's what my cheapass gets for not paying for a music service. You just get a whole bunch of awful music that my wife had in her CD collection.

PREACH

And here is a sideways pic of stumpin. I could do a “hillbilly bucket grapple clamp arm build thread”. Should have took pictures.
so uploading pics is easy. resizing is easy. but rotating is impossible.
