His exo fawked him there... Pook shot right up it and I also had to pull line to get up it....

This was by far the best trip to the hammers i've had!
it was great to meet everyone, the weather was perfect, the buggy did awesome!!! (thanks bobby and rcv performance for the axles!!) .........plus maybe a shot or two in a magazine.........what a great trip!!!!!

:redneck:

God damn......I had no idea I was riding with someone famous..................Can I get your autograph?:eeek: :haha: :haha:

Yeah, he always goes for the handle. I've seen him come damn close to rolling a few times, and in each situation, he did the same thing and went straight for his grab handle.

Its like a normal reaction to grab it correctly----

I can't get em to load on the youtube site so I embeded em here. these are the vids from just above.

Woo, just rolled in from two weeks on the road. They didn't come up with the name "Hammers" just to make it sound gnarly. That place is brutal. If the trails dont take you out, theres plenty of scorching heat, snakes, other creapy crawlies and TFS. All in all it was totally worth the drive and was great camping and wheelin with you guys. Tin Benders 2007, :D

Good to see that the three of you made it back.

Where did you guys end up going for the rest of the vacation?

After we left, we went up to Big Bear lake for a couple nights, and then to Venice Beach for a night.

After that we started North and toured through Yosemite for a couple days and then up to Redding for a movie. We saw Super Fuzz, done by the same guys from Shaun of the Dead (funny ass movie)

From there we took highway 97 up through the interior of Oregon and stopped off at Crater Lake. We thought it would be nice up there but it was snowing balls and we could hardly see the lake. Then up through Bend and eastern washington.

Went to a rave out in a desert canyon and rode the buggy around some more. There were a bunch of hippies there and they went nuts over the buggy and wanted rides. At one point I taxied over a stream and before I knew it there were 9 people riding on it. What a circus. Who'd a thought a bunch of dreadies (other than Mauler) would be stoked on front dig donuts. Cant blame them though.

I was fun, not as much as the Hammers though. We didn't get home until 11 last night. Glad to be off the road for a while.

Sounds like you had a good trip home! nice to meet you and your girl, see ya later. Odie.

How are those brute force u-joints working out?

Not so good because they are 1350's and dont fit. I'll throw em in my parts bag, maybe I'll come across someone who needs them.

It was cool meeting you as well. I looked in every farm field on the way home for 1 tons.... no scores though.:booo:

My hand never went around any of the exterior tube---it was all on the grab bar.....

It sure looks like your left hand missed the bar in the vid, but it's pretty grainy too. Just worried about you, I know a serious hand injury would really screw things up for you. :booo: It just makes me cringe, that's all. Then again I've never rolled so I should probably stfu.

I have played the event over and over again in my head to make sure what would be deemed as a normal reaction to the situation and I feel I did everything as it should be--only difference is I should have had my shoulder harness's on...

Agreed :awesomework: I'm sure in the same situation I would have done something similar. :redneck: At least you had the handle there and the forethought to go for it instead of somewhere else. Were you able to extract your seat cover afterwards? :corn:

My truck would have come back in pieces if I'd taken it down there. :redneck: Many little wrinkled pieces. :haha:
