I just found a bunch of old pics and in the pile was a couple of my first truck the day I drove it home :011:

'96 Dodge 1500 Indy Ram edition
Slight factory retuned 5.9L with a 3" stainless exhaust

To this day, it's probably my favorite exhaust note I've heard. God I loved that truck :booo:

Shortly there after, I got the paint and strip matched hard toneau and the bass makers installed (4 10s that to this day affected my hearing) :cool:






So what was your first vehicle? Did you love it? Or glad to see it go?
 
Mine was a 66 Galaxie 500.
352 V8, auto, 4dr.
6-8 mpg, depending on how I drove it.

Horrible POS, but it was my POS.
and it had a BBBIIIGGG back seat.
 
My first ever vehicle was a 1986 S-10 with the crappy 2.8L I beat the crap out of that truck. It was given to me in 1996 and my dad sold it when I joined the navy.

The first vehicle I ever bought with my own money was my Jeep. Still got it and I would hate to see it go.
 
1973 VW Thing..... I miss that Thing, it had a killer limited slip and did sweet burnouts (on wet pavement).

I think it's got more hp than my TJ. :booo:

My first vehicle was a '79 (IIRC) Ford Courior. What a piece of ****. The only thing ****tier than that truck was the way I abused it. I was such a dumb ass teenager :rolleyes:

My second vehicle was a '71 240Z that I bought from a friend's uncle out of an old dirt floored barn. I wish I still had it. Even a Pinto with a dead cylinder and a sagging head liner would be cool if you found it in a dirt floored barn.

I should buy an old barn.
 
First vehicle that mattered..........82' sr5, 44" cepek mud countrys, 327 tunnel rammed vette motor out of the hood, shag carpet, "new cassette player".............. all the latest tail for a few years in the 80's,......... met a lot of parents for a few years....."where are you taking my daughter tonite?"

I corrupted many young women back then! :D

My VERY first vehicle was an '81 4dr honda civic i got for free that never ran and sat along the house for a year and then we gave it away... but my first TRUE as in driveable truck was my S-10 (which i still have 5-6 years later:awesomework: I remember one of the first times out wheeling, the comments that were made... "you're taking THAT thing with us" and my favorite, "is that thing 2WD???":haha: the latter of which is on video:haha:
 
1977 Sabb 99EMS in 86. It did killer reverse to 1st gear burnouts.
 
Pimped out 71' VW camper bus... Damn I miss it. Fuggin thing did wheelies...:D
 
First car that was mine was a '61 Ford Pickup my dad originally had bought for parts. I wanted to drive it around the property so bad... he handed me some tools and told me if I could get it running it was "mine"... I had to replace one (or both?) head gaskets, and it never really did run quite "right", but I did get it going and drove it around all over the place on spare fumes for months.

First rig I actually drove legally on the road was a '79 chevy van. Still have it, it's at my parents' place... my brother drove it in high school and put a new motor in it at some point along the way. My dad still uses it occasionally for random stuff. The sliding side door is welded shut from the inside because the hinges broke. The body is rusting away from the frame slowly, but it's a champ. My dad has had it since before I was born... it's been all over southwestern canada, the northwest US all the way to the far east reaches of Montana, and all the way down to southern california twice.

My first car that I bought with my own money... '95 honda civic 2dr coupe that was bone stock when I got it. When I sold it it was lowered on Ground Controls coilovers and Koni Yellow's, turbocharged with an aftermarket kit from Greddy, fuel management system from Apex'i and a whole host of other go-fast stuff... It was moderately quick for a honda civic. All the speeding tickets I ever received were from driving this car. :redneck:
 
i learned to drive in a old flat fender, got my license in a '70 monty carlo, drove a '69 nova sophmore year, and built a 350 v8 powered monza jr year.

79 ford thunderbird with a 351 with a boom box for a stereo that ran off a power enverter. i kept on having to change out the right rear tire all the time as in every couple wks. oh and the rear springs had to coils cut out of them so the gas tank would scrape on every bump in the road. man do i miss that thing.:redneck:

Dad bought it new in 82, I started driving it when I was 12. Drove it all thru high school. It sat at my parents place for a couple of years while I went in the Army and to Germany. When I got back to Georgia, I flew up here, put a new set of tires on it, a new radiator, and drove it 3,522 miles to Savannah, GA. Somewhere in Cornhole, Nebraska the drivers side 2pc axle let loose. Had it welded at some farmers shop. That held until Nashville, TN. I had turned in my hotel room key, hopped in and went to put it in reverse. Since it was raining, my feet were wet and my foot slipped off the clutch peddle. Snap goes the weld at 4am in the morning. Back into 4hi. Found a place called Duck Welding on Murfreesburo Rd that hooked me up. Back on the road with the hammer down. Just outside Macon, GA the water pump lets loose. :wtf: Get that repaired and finally finished the trip in 5 days. :redneck:

About 3mos after getting it to Savannah, I did the SOA on it. Been modifying it and beating the crap outta it ever since. :masturbanana[1]:
