ok im on 33s and only winch in one place on busy does that mean i cant run it?

No, the vehicle recommendations are just that, recommendations. The only restriction is the width and length as given earlier.

Fawk them, and there rules. I have no problems at 82" WIDE and 116" wheelbase. Its just another BS greener tree hugging bullsh!t ploy to get us out of there. They will cut down the tree's and they will go to the mill, it doesn't matter if the lower half is missing a little bark. They can kiss my ass I will still run this trail.:pissed:

Somebody should put Steve back in there, at least he was fighting for us to get new trails.:booo:

I agree!! if and when I decide to run this trail again @ 91" wide and 121 wheelbase I will do so and you tree huggin' ****s can kiss my canadian ass!! If you don't like my 47" deep ruts get some bigger tires.

Shut up, I won't listen to your little tire crap because I personally don't give a ****.
Go blow a goat and have a good night. Odie.

You guys are bad ass :hi: go show those stupid bastards working to keep them trails open! When they are closed are you guys going to wheel on them anyway? Cause that would be bad ass too! I know take guns and make them government nazis pay for taking your land away! Thats probably the best way to make a difference, from jail. :awesomework:

I had a large club contact me last night about adopting the first 1/2 of the busywild. If this goes through, the enforcement abilities will go way up since the club will be keeping an eye on things.

In addition one of these days the volunteer forest watch program is going to be put into place. These people will not have any ticketing abilities but they will have some enforcement tools. Primarily ticking pictures of violators for various violations, including going off the trail, not using tree savers etc.

I was expecting someone to come out of the woodwork like Megatoy and Fullywrecked, but if they really cared enough about what's happening on the busy, they would've showed up at a meeting or two over the last few years and maybe even a work party to help out. There will always be people who want to buck the rules with an, "I don't care, I'll do what I want anyway," attitude. They truly are showing their ignorance about the process and the big picture.

While a section of the busy has a size restriction, it's the ONLY section on the entire trail system that has a restriction, and it's MUCH bigger than what was being proposed based on her conditions. We are also going to be taking a fairly easy trail and turning it into a brand new double black diamond trail and we're adding a rock crawl area. Both of these are fully accessible for the larger rigs and will NOT be suitable for the smaller rigs. I wonder if they'll complain that we're going to keep the small rigs off that trail because it's not fair to them? I doubt it... Maybe they'll encourage guys with smaller rigs to break the rules and find a way on to these new trails so that we can have vehicle carcases scattered along side of the trail, but who are we to restrict access to a road on national land???

I guess we're not working on trying to get new trails open... I laugh at "someone put Steve back in there." It truly shows how little is understood about they way things work. But that's alright. We'll continue to work towards improving and saving trails despite people like this. Steve worked hard while he had this position, but it's the "someone ELSE" mentality that I have issue with. Fullywrecked, if you think you can do better, then YOU take the job. Don't throw it off with SOMEONE ELSE should get SOMEONE ELSE to do what you want. Volunteer for the position and if you get it, then YOU can work on getting new trails opened instead of relying on SOMEONE ELSE to do the work.

so whats the penalty for running the trail anyways? in a rig bigger than the stated restrictions?

Dunno... and Nancy wasn't willing to post the fine amount on the signs either since the amounts change.. I believe that breaking that RCW that simply states that you must follow the posted rules, is around $250. This will apply to driving outside the trail corridor, not using a tree saver and any other posted instructions. It's all the same RTW for all violations but I don't know the code number.

So how is someone going to know if your to wide? Are they going to be out there with a tape and measure everyone that looks to wide?

I hesitate to bring this up but this is important to know. I can speak only for DNR land, but all trees inside the trail corridor are already considered lost by the DNR. That means that accidental rubbing up against the trees, scraping some bark off, etc is NOT going to get the trails closed. They consider those trees, OUR trees. However, when the root system is degraded and the tree becomes sick or dies, it often has to be removed, this is why most of the trees at Elbe have been cut, (excluding logging) for safety, not for big rigs to fit though. This is NOT a license to intentionally damage the trees, not use tree savers etc. Since these trees are part of OUR trails we have a responsibility to maintain them or the trails will just get wider and straighter as time goes on.

i think this is what upsets me the most. you post that rubbing trees is expected and the dnr is aware of this condition and taken this into account.then post up that it's unacceptable to rub and/or climbing tree stumps and/or root balls and nancy will not allow it. how you've posted that elbe will be the place to go for big rigs and won't have restrictions in the way of the national forest land. quite frankly the "i have nancy in my back pocket attitude". all the talk about being fined for being in the wrong area without the "recommended" equipment. i don't believe all the fines and restrictions are in the best interest of the offroad community.you are allowing the alienation of certain portions of a user group. i commend you on the effort in the new proposed area's but maybe too much focus has been put on that. it seems we have taken 1 step forward and 1 step back. i won't go as far as to say bring steve back, but i guarantee he would have kicked, screamed and never allowed this to have happened.

**** IT. HOLLY ROLLERS own the camp ground. now they own the BUSY too. way to go bud.:looser: i will continue to run this trail backwards in my to long for the rollers rig. that meeting was 5 minutes from my house, i didnt hear anything about it.:eeek: I would have been there.:flipoff: way to promote it. :awesomework:

Enforcement officials, when around will do just that. Just like they measure bumper height.

PS I'm pushing to set a standard for 82" at 30 psi vs 82" as is on the trail. Of course, if you don't have onboard air to get up to the standard you're SOL.

I don't see how to build a practical gatekeeper that will prevent oversized vehicles from getting through. Most of the oversized vehicles that want to run the busy will find their way up and over anything we put up.

do like they did up at walker put ballards at the start and end of the trails. but as for hight im not sure but that would keep the rigs that are too wide.

**** yeah and 53s. maybe we can kick down the orange suburu guys from wilkeson some cash to block the trail after we enter so the holy rollers cant tattle on us. :awesomework:

you guys lost crannberry to the county, now your going after elbe.:puke:

buy your own land, **** it up, make your own rules. stop ****ing with peoples freedom.:fawkdancesmiley: :fawkdancesmiley: stop ****ing with elbe.

part of promoting a meeting is not just posting it then letting it get burried. just notice how many people responded???:booo:

more attention was brought from the toilet drinking dog thread last night.:cheer:

that thread should have been bumped every night till the meeting.
dale why didnt you post it up instead of 426rider, if im looking for elbe meeting dates, wouldnt i just look at all threads started by gibby, you are the elbe dictator shouldnt you post the **** so it can be found easily.

i get the feeling that the rollers dont want anybody elses veiw at these meetings. :rb:

So now that you know that mine is 85" and when i post up that Im going to run elbe you will send me a fine because you know Im not going to miss that trail. BS ....Because of this I dont think im going to be coming to any meetings at all. Thats pretty cool that you made the measurements to your rig so you can still run it.:flipoff:

Because Devon beat me too it. He's on the same list of people that get emails from the DNR about the meetings. Email Nancy Barker if you want to be on the list to get notified. [email protected] We only got the finalized meeting date, location and agenda from the DNR a couple of days before the meeting.

Yeah Brian that's just what I'm going to do. I have no more enforcement abilities than you do. I'm simply reporting the results of the meeting. I didn't make the rule that there should be a width or length restriction, the DNR did.

It doesn't matter what size was decided upon, someone's going to whine about it.
