I've never been to ravens roost either, but the trail map and directions on nwjeepn.com show several access points to the trail on the road to the top. Expect snow, but with a few weeks of warm weather between now and then, hopefully most of it will melt...
Sounds like a good long day. 7am at the turn off of 410 outside greenwater? Sounds good. Did you have any other places or trails you were planning to hit? The Naches wagon trail only takes an hour or so, and the ravens roost trailhead is not much further. I'm up for exploring and wandering...
I've never murdered my very own Christmas tree and thought it would be a cool thing to do with the family. Anyone have any good places to go get a tree off of hwy 410 out of enumclaw? IIRC the permit to cut is 10 bucks?
I figure getting a Christmas tree is a good enough excuse to do a little...
Wasn't there a bit of slop in the left front tie rod? Running a bigger hunk of rubber could place more strain on it and finish it off. How are the rest of the bushings in the front end looking? Ever get the steering wheel centered after those morons at big wheel aligned it? I'm just...
Are those the original bfg's from when you bought it? I seem to recall balance issues with at least 1 of the tires. I just rotated it 90 degrees and was able to balance it with lead. It never was absolutely perfect but close enough. They were cupping a bit IIRC.
Yeah this is what I'll likely end up running on. Don't need any Donner party experiences out there in the cold.
Boonie, if you can pull a rabbit out of your hat that to make it happen that would be awesome. Id love to see the taco in action again.
If I can't get a bird dog to show me around...
I've never been to Liberty before and have no knowledge if it's even open/passable right now. Is anyone with area knowledge interested in showing me around Monday 12/27/10?
I'm running 33's, locked front and rear. No winch :booo: but plenty of other recovery gear.
Any info I should know...
Running an MTR clone from Treadwright on my FJ80. Took the road up to Evans Creek yesterday and they plowed through 24"+ without too much trouble. I'm only running a 33" (my daily driver) and didn't even have to air down or lock it up. Great tires, waaaay better than my old BFG MT's.
Hijack...
X2
Smaller tires make you work for it, hone driving skills you forgot way back when.
But then again, maybe I'm just too broke to buy the cool stuff all over again!
