    Well maybe it would just be more cost effective to go 4.3 or 5.3. Then I'll actually have more power like I want and get the auto I want too.

    Does anyone run a Toyota auto trans in their rigs. Trying to figure out if one will hold up or not. Currently running the 22re and l52 trans. Toy high low box to a Dana 300. Just want to get an auto. Might just have to go 4.3 or 5.3 engine with a turbo 350?

    Ya the quicksteel is holding up. Thanks for that stuff. Ended up tearing the lower rear links of the chassis which then broke the rear shocks. All in all a good weekend til the fires started anyways.

    thanks for all the replies guys. after doing some research and measuring i might go with a 5.3 or if i get some cash soon enough a friend has a line on a 6.0 so we'll see what happens.

    im thinking about swapping my 22re for a 4.3 so i can get some more power and swap to an auto. dont quite have the room for a v8 so thats my reason for the 4.3 anyways my question is what years would be the best choice for my buggy. i dont know a whole lot about them but from what ive read it...
