I give him a year

1) His wife will never drive the truck, it's way to big for her

2) Karl drives a bus on base some times, so he's use to driving large vehicles

That being said, this is Karl where talking about, It could be a Miata and he's somehow manage to hit something with it.

my grandpa towed tankers for decades.. After he was retired he had a 93 reg cab Dodge 2wd long bed and towed a 35' bumper pull with it, never a problem.. within 3 months of getting his new 98 ram QC longbed truck that was a couple feet longer then his old one (my truck). He crushed in both sides of the bed in front of the rear tires.. :haha: He was just so used to a shorter rig.

I'm not as much worried about the fenders as I am that Karl will pour some kitty litter into the crankcase to soak up a little oil leak. :corn:
