So i bought a 51 Whilly

12.52 Seconds with street tires at 20 psi.
104.92 mph

351 Windsor balanced and blue printed built by bailey brothers speed shop in napa calif.

Holley 650 double pumper.

Borg Warner T-10 Top Loader.

Cast steel flywheel.

OEM clutch from a california special.

Ford 9 In with factory detroit 4:10s from the same calif Special.

Power Steering from the same calif special.

Front and rear stabalizers from 1" forged steel.:011: :masturbanana[1]:

All 4 fenders flared with gremlin fender flaress cut and morphed into the existing....:011:

The rear have inner fenders all welded and faired into the original body.

Vette l-88 hood scoop.

Corvette white with blue pearlesent in four clear coats then a top clearcoat.
All wet sanded and buffed.:bananadance:

i could go on and on......:76:

it won every show it was entered in.

Ohh and todays progress:

now i have to actually decide the width.... was aiming at 58" as that was how wide the whilly was. Remember the whilly?

well its supposed to at least resemble it when im done.

hey you need to clean that shop! maybe you should stay home, and do that :haha: what a mess:flipoff: !!!

ill be fitting the three pieces i bent yesterday.

i clean it up most nights after working but not all. its clean from yesterdays carnage though. it is so much easier to start to work in a shop thats clean and tools are where there supposed to be.

hummmm i just noticed the ghost lurking aro und the shop, can ya see it:wtf:

Looks good but damn your back and knees must hurt from working off the floor like that.

actually did you notice how tall i built my workbench. so i dont have to bend over much. but yeah i have a bad back and it limits what i do. i work about 6 to 8 hours in the shop and my back gets very stiff.

i have one tall bench and one regular. i also have a aluminium top to two saw horses that are really tall so i dont have to bend over to weld small stuff.

Then theres the floor which seems to be my favorite surface to work from.

Made the last of the mini spreaders and tacked into place. now the lower part is done enough to weld out. then i can get serious with link mounts.

need more tube for the rest of the chassis.

its hard to see but it all came out within 1/64" of perfectly flat.:awesomework:

well see how flat after welding.
