Super Spree

Robin is very new to the 2 stroke school...

Makes me want to start a thread about my new motorcycle.

Tell me it's an HII(72 hp stock) fastest 2 stroke straight line madness, just dont try to stop or turn.

I built me a sweet RD400 Daytona special(Canada Import) 6th gear wheelies, I'm not surethe max rpm , bu it could beat all production bikes in it's time. I could spank any idiot on their Ninja. this was in 1986-87

Took a 30hp KX-500 and turned t into a 80hp monster, changed the port timing.030 and dialed in the power valve and tuned the pipe. I still have acess to the bike. I never tested the rpm, but my guess 13,000 on the pipe.(bummer it only runs on VP and only 2 people I know can start it).
It is resting in a shop in Kapowisn. I sprrck it up one a month.

I understand 2 strokes very well....it's all about exhaust scavanging, porting helps, matching reeds to compression ratio helps, fuel and air management help, BUT it's all about exhaust scavanging. Cool thing is with the exhaust port timing you can get some big torque down low and still have controled insanity on the pipe.

I had a few rz350's, My last was a 385 with no power valves and full case porting. The pipes are where its at, But the re-ringing all the time sucks. I could pull 3rd gear wheelies but the lack of power valves made it damn scary up top. Damn did it sound good though...

Im sure crash is loving the 2 stroke talk....

Little, fast bikes are fun. Here is my crf50 in the dunes:

I'm looking heavily into pitbikes, I want a thumpstar or pitster, I rode a buddies thumpstar 125cc, pure badassness. Totally unnecessay and I'm not sure how the hell I am justifying it.

I finally have the box of parts:awesomework: . The piston gets coated next week, so I better do a little grinding on the piston before I bring it away. Also time to port and polish the intake, cylinder ports, and exhaust.
