Hi All:

Thanks for the photos! Looks like fun!

So, where is "Elochoman Lake" located?

Regards,

Alan

That the rig that won't steer straight?

It's too short and too much lift. Unless you've cut the C's off the front axle, and rotated them, then I'd guess you've got a HUGE alignment issue.

Plus, the suspension cannot flex upward at ALL without hitting the body.
Just because you can bolt a set of tires on a rig, doesn't mean you should.

Switch to a smaller tire, like 35s or 36s and they'll fit. Example:

(and I trimmed the rear fenders backwards about 2 inches, and cut the lips off the inside of the front of the rear fender. also trimmed all the sharp edges out of the fronts)

Well in the pics it looks like it flexes well to "me".
It has a 4" kit is all and it seems to work quite well on the trail.
It drove like **** BEFORE when it only had a 2.5" lift and 33's so I know that it is something OTHER than the tires/lift.

Some guys just need 40's when 35's will do.

Thanks for the pics.

Can we get some flex shots to judge for ourselves...?

Look through the album...
They aren't the greatest pics but the cj went everywhere the other rigs did and did it well for lack of gearing and a slipping clutch due to a rear main leak that started....

Hey man the people here are all just giving you a little reinforcment that is right short rig with tall tires without alot of modificatoin = shitty ride I know first hand. My flat fender has a wheel base of 78 inches on 38" and drives straight down the road but it took alot of modifing to do tht start with a revers shackle then rebuild all your'e steering componets. that is a good start. and here is a flex pic.

Duh he must be new, everyone knows you build for the internet not for yourself:haha:

stupid keyboard builders.:looser:

Im with ya man, I was raggin on the tards that conform to the internet.

That is the exact reason I DON'T build a toyota, truggy or wannabe rock crawler.

While they may be cool, I got my roots in the 70's in cj's and full size fords, dodges and cornbinders.

I like tradition even though the other rigs listed go VERY well it's just not my style although I will build those for OTHERS:awesomework:
