A long need product is here for toyota owners. Its these nifty seals made from UHMW plastic to ensure a sure seal on the knuckle ball replacing the factory felt and rubber ball wiper.

First I started out by flattening out the puckers pulled into the stock retainers with a hammer on the edge of the table to ensure a good flat contact.

Most knuckles will look like this from years of the stock felts trapping dirt and rust under them and leaking from being a poor design.

Take a grinder and wire wheel to the entire BALL area so the wiper can start with a nice clean surface.

If you have any nicks or scratches from broke birf damage then take a file and work them down till they are smooth and dont affect the new wiper.

Go ahead and slip the stock retainer ring and the new wiper onto the knuckle ball like this.

Next put the wiper and ring on and bolt up the lower retainer half. Make sure the wiper is in the relief machined for the stock rubber and steel ring. Be sure to place the split in the plastic ring at the top and the split in the steel ring at the bottom 180 degrees apart from each other.

Then put a little silicone sealer in the slit at the top of the plastic wiper. (see note in pic)
