warn winch quit

My older m12000 went poop today. I was winching an old international onto my trailer, and it went "click". Won't do anything now. The connections are still tight, not corroded, and it lives in the garage other than when it's being used.

Is there any particular thing on these warns that gives up the ghost? I tried another remote I have, and still nothing. Took the cover off the solenoids and it all looks fine. I have good power back to it as well.

The number one failure is corrosion or loose grounds. I suppose you could have a shorted solinoid. My M12000 did the same thing. Cleaned and tightened the ground cable from the bottom of the motor, and works like a champ again. (It's not a dead battery, is it?)

I personally wouldn't buy anything SHITTYBUILT. LOL. Just like their bad ass bumpers.

I'm pretty sure it's going to end up being the ground cable. Just have to check it out after I'm finished killing gophers...:cheer:
