Hi guys. Ok, i am looking to buy a 84 Toyota 4x4 Pickup. it already has a 3 or 4inch lift on it, and has 5:29 gears, and webber carb. it is hella ugly yellow. haha, and the bed is rusted out. the engine is blown, i have a 22R in my garage that i just rebuilt. i know a few things i wanna do, like taking the rusted bed off and fab up a flatbed, put a spool in the back, bumpers n sliders, Offroad lights, and it needs tires. im on somewhat of a budget, so things i can fab/or maybe aren't 500+$ are prefered. but i want some more ideas and know why i should do it. (example: like i kno people move the spring hangers forward, but why?) anyways, thanks for any advice:) Cheers

To clear 36" or bigger tires so they don't crunch the inner fenders or rubbage when flexing, better approach angle or if there running rear springs/waggy up front!

I was working on one today SAS for a friend Tim he's running 39's and its clean rig so no banging the fenders out,He wanted to put the front hanger 2 1/2 '' forward I warned him about the steering. We did things a little bit different on this one.know we have to move the steering box forward also and maybe roll with the stock shackles we will see how it turns out everything is just tacked at the moment just got back from getting the axle hung tonight.

Iam sure others have there own reasons with what they are working with $$ material wise.

cool man. thanks. looks like a cool build. have any ideas for flatbed dezigns?

Post a pic of the back or send it to me Iam sure a couple people will put there .02 cents in ,just depends on what kind of meterial u have access too.
Me personally want my spare mounted to an extra (hub assembly, bearings spindle, rotor, lug nuts)tool box bolted, then another one for straps, fluids, gear an what ever else u might need and a spot for Co2 tank ,chainsaw holder, many things u can bungie cord to a expand metal head ach rack.
expand metal on the headache rack out of 2x2 I usually use treated 2x6 wood for the decking then frame it up ,plated fender wells with semi type removable mud flaps. Then cut the frame flush with the back shackle.Everybody has there own styles **** can get spendy too.
