Ive read the pirate tech on manual brakes and yada yada but Im curious other people with dana 60s and manual brakes are running for pedal ratio. I have a 1 1/8 master cylinder with disks all around. I was planning on running a 6:1 ratio.

Thanks, Richard

I'll be running a 12" petal..CNC master Cly. 7/8 for the front 3/4 ton calipers and 3/4..for the 1/2 ton rear calipers....my buddy up north says it works kick ass!!!!:D

I had issues with this when I first ran my rig. I built my own pedal setup and the pivit for the pedal was too far above where the master pushrod was. I got it all dialed in now but I could not tell you what the ratio is. I also run dual willwood masters tho.

If I had to guess I would say the pivit for the pedal is about 2" above the master pushrod and the pedals are about 12" long... so your 1:6 is roughly what I am running.

6:1, or better yet 7:1 is what most set ups run. The heavier the rig, the bigger the ratio of course.

The longer ratio give you more power in an emergency, plus has more modulation. If your making it yourself, set it up with mutable pivot points, then you can dial it right to where you like it!
