Evans Creek ORV Management Plan
A Decision Notice (DN) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Evans Creek ORV Area Management Plan, signed March 16, 2009, is available below or to request a hardcopy (print or CD) contact the team lead at the telephone number below. The Selected Alternative (Alternative 2) will implement a management plan that will include the upgrading/redesign of area facilities (campground, day use and entrance area); road treatments including decommissioning/closing 11.2 miles, converting 9.63 miles to trail, upgrade 2.14 miles and constructing 0.1 mile of new road; trail treatments including 28.7 miles of maintenance, 1.35 miles of decommissioning, 0.25 miles converted to road and decommissioning/obliteration of user built trails; provide for user safety through use of signage and traffic controls; and establish an operating season The project is located in Pierce County in the Carbon River watershed about 17 miles south of Enumclaw, Washington.
