BMF - BAD MUTHA FAWKERS! :****:

True dat! :woot: laughing1

If i do lift it again i'm going to stick with these wheels or BMF Rehabs in 20x12 death metal black. I'm done with chrome wheels. Every set in those pics started getting rust pits in 6 months. No matter how clean i kept them.

Heres my old truck
1 day it will get a 12 valve

Ol Paw Paw camper on the Bro mobile. ::)

Got some duratracs on her now, looks much better than the sissy michelin street tires. 275/65-20 (34s)

Couple of mods, gettin EfiLive to really tweak it out :woot:
I been thinking about debadging mine and taking the side moldings off...but I don't know if I want to or not. Already ridded it of the bedside decals...when I traded my Z06 Vette in on it, some dumbass had put old Z71 decals on the bedside instead of the 4x4 decals. So that immediately had to come off soon as I got it home lol.

My 4x4 stickers didn't last 3 months on mine, and that's including time from date of manufacture :****: And that rubber, chrome trim **** on the doors of GM trucks is just :puke:

Yep, 3m eraser wheel on the Milwaukee magnum holeshooter will take the stickers, glue, and double sided tape right off. A lil polish job and she's lookin good.

I don't have any pics of my truck even relatively clean tho

The moldings on the Chevys in my body style are fugly but the ones on the GMC's like mine look pretty good in my opinion. I prolly won't **** with them, unless I get really bored one day lol.

I flat out love these wheels/tires....glad I went with them.

I'd leave the "bullet trim" chrome strips, and remove the tailgate badges, 2500hd badge, and the lil square trim package badge on the c pillar. Really cleans up the look of the truck IMO.

If my truck had body color flares I'd get some gmc bullet trim,

Yep, that's kinda what my idea was. Most ppl I've talked to don't like the bullet trim, but I think it accents the overall theme well. Hell it ain't like I can't put something back on after I take it off if I don't like it lol. I'll experiment one day

I agree pulling the trim looks better. But at this point, those trucks are all 5 years old or better. The shadows from the fade are going to be way more than a color sand will be able to over come.
I dont like the trim on my black truck, but to pull it now would look terrible IMO. The sunfade on a red will be worse and even more obvious.

Man its some nice tow rigs in this thread as soon as i get the jeep paid off i will have one for myself.

Nothing a lil wet sand and buff wont take care of. It only oxidizes the top layer, you can make them look new again.

We debadged a 2000 model truck the other day, after some rubbing compound and a powerbuff to get the embedded dirt/grainy **** out of the clear coat under the door trim it looked great. The stickers and badges don't really hold dirt so they look fine underneath

Really? I've debadged nearly every vehicle I've ever owned and unless its pretty new, the sunfade on the paint ends up showing a huge shadow where the badge/trim was. The newer the easier they buff out and over time you hardly notice the shadow. But a 12 year old truck??? What color? Couldnt have been dark like a red or black? I'd believe anything light, silver, white....

Lol it was pewter... Pretty much the best case scenario. IMO blues are the worst for showing "shadows". Black (not metallic) usually cleans up ok.

The Chevy red seems pretty resilient and can be "restored" pretty easily from my limited experience.

here is mine cleaned up a lil, far from clean.

The main thing about debadging mine that's stopping me is the fact that I buy/sell/trade spur of the moment on often occasions...and I really don't want to fawk with putting all that junk back on there a few months or so down the road if something comes up and I decide to sell. I like the option of easily putting it back to stock form which is why I kept factory wheels and used blackouts on the taillights vs. that VHT nightshade stuff to tint them.
