To all you buggy guys, I'm needing help on the coolant lines....

Building my buggy, would like a few photos on how everyone. Is running their rear radiator in the buggys. I am running mine throug exhaust tubing, but when it comes to connecting the engine to the tubes and the tubes to the radiator, I'm running into a little problem. Tying to find 1 3/4" flexible hose that I can bend to where I need it, anyone know where I can get about 16 feet for a decent price? Located in Birmingham, al. Any help would be appreciated.

16AN braided stainless is about 11.00 a foot AN hose ends 25.00 a piece AN 16 to 1 3/4 smooth adapter 25.00 a piece =376.00 and it looks good

Run it through your upper frame rails, and extend them up close to your radiators outlets then you just need two 90 degree hoses, if you run flexible lines you might have troubles with them bouncing around and getting caught on objects

Here's mine with AN fittings. Like Elliot said keep the hoses short and they won't flop around.

How did you attach the -16an to the water pump. Love the buggy. Ive been watching your build. Saw the posting of the photo shoot. Beautiful

Mine has a weld in bung to 16an fitting w.o.d has them and jegs also has them I'll try to get u a part number

Did you have to change the water pump? I'd like to see some pictures. I'd definitely appreciate the part numbers

No I didn't have to change water pump what motor you gonna be running and I'll try and find you part numbers

Here's the water pump connection. AN barbed fitting to a short section of radiator hose.

I used this on my water pump and WOD has one that goes on the thermostat. I also ordered my radiator with open holes then welded in AN fitting to it myself.

Looking at the pics, you would think that AN16 size fittings and hose would choke down the coolant flow too much. But ive seen alot of them out there . Any cooling problems?

It will cool a lot more horsepower than my stock 6.0 puts out. No problems with mine.

Got mine going, then trans died... But never ran hot or even close... Tanks for the help guys...

How about some pics on How you ended up doing it? Just wondering if you did it cheap or "looks nice" ?
I'm getting ready to do mine and will not be spending $375 on hose. I have to come up with cheaper alternative. Any suggestions from the budget crowd?

eddyj, here is my cell: message me tomorrow and i'll send you some pictures of what i have... 205-335-1562 .... my rubber hoses are from oriellys, using hard line from frame rails to cooling passages.... i spend about 100$ on hoses and welding the pipes to the frame... isnt 100% professional, but beating on a hill very hard, temp doesnt get over 190 degrees.....

Anybody ever run coolant lines out of copper and soldered fittings together? Just tryin to think outside the box s little cause my chassis looks like a monkey bar set under there and aint much room for coolant lines

Didn't try copper, was very $$$... I thought of exhaust tubing.... But didn't have the room for it...
