What are the advantages to having a right side drive buggy?

HOLY CRAP ain,t that the rig that caught on fire at the Durhamtown race :dunno:

I say buy it and then move the steerin wheel back to the damn side IT BELONGS ON :****:

Thats the one thing that people do to rigs from time to time to be "different" that is retarded and stoopid looking ::)
 
Rig looks fast sitting still in the garage!

If all else fails you can use the RHD to confuse the hell out of spotters and passengers.

Yeah this is the one he said he blew a tranny line during the Pre run causing fluid to spill on the exhaust which lead to the fire. He said it wasn't too bad and even raced the next day.
 
AW yea it was just a little more than a flash up wich hurt nothing ,, I was rite ther when it lit ,, I just wonderin if it WAS the same mochine ;D ,, thang IS nice , just have to get used to not getting in it on the wrong side!

No doubt. I going to feel it out and if I can't get used to it I will change it.

You could just replace the passenger side T-handle with a steering wheel and really confuse everyone about who is driving...
 
We were planning to put the controls back on the proper side,(during the rebuild) but the chassis floor is asymmetrical. It has a lot more room on the "wrong side". You will get used to driving it in no time!
 
Jason, your new buggy is nothing but bad assss. The only thing is every time i would see you on the trail, I wondered why you were letting some one else driving your new rig? Ha ha!

Yeah I did let my passenger get some time in the driver seat. I tell you what I don't know what felt more weird, driving on the passenger side, or riding on the driver side. It took a while to get used to and was aweful at first, but I feel like the second day I was getting a lot better. I basically felt like I was learning to drive all over again. The motor is badass, but is extremely touchy especially in low range. I think that will be the hardest thing to get used to. I am going to give it one more ride and if I still dont like the gap between high and low, I may change the gearing. The 6:20's, which were put in the buggy to keep you from having to shift into low when racing, did not feel right for the type of riding we were doing. I mostly ran in low range with the tranny in second gear. High in first gear just was not low enough in the big stuff, and I didn't feel in control when I was running low in second gear. When your foot would bounce and touch the pedal the buggy would launch forward. I did figure out if I rested my foot against the skin I was able to control the throttle exceleration better, but it was sketchey at best.
 
Yes that thing is a beast. It sounds like the engine is turning 10,000 rpm when you stand on it.
