With your setup Do your air bumps hit there pads when the suspension is flexed, or only the square on hard hits like full bump? Pictures help, I'm a visual learner.

I've seen them both ways the only thig you want to make sure is that they don't and can't get hung under their landing pad! Fwiw I would want them to hit in both cases but I like to go fast!

Not yet. Just saw it when i was driving around the yard. Im pretty sure theyll do there job on the fire roads, its just when the other side drops out, like when its crawling it moves away from the pads. Just curious how everyone else had them set up

Re:

Mine chewed up the pads and the aluminum pieces that screw into the bump shafts last time I had it out, I gotta redo mine too them things is expensive

Not the greatest picture but below you can see how mine are not centered on the pad. The pads are also angled downward to the outer edge. This is so that the bump lands squarely on the pad when articulating one side up as well as during a straight up compression.

It depends on your suspension set up and where your bumps are mounted. I usually use a small bump pad, sometimes as small as 2" around. I have seen other setups that need huge pads because the axle moves around alot as it flexes. If you are worried about it, mock it up and flex it out with an engine crane.

my air bumps bottom out at full compression about 1/4 inch before my shocks... only when both sides are at full compression

when flexing the bumps never hit ....my bumps are 4" and my suspension is set up for 7" of uptravel..

Re:

Mine hit when im hard on it. Bump stops should be half of your up travel at ride height. Shouldn't be riding on them.
