I want to make sure I don't end up being "that guy" that sold some stuff and it wasn't what I said it was. I've had these wheels since January and decided I wanted to run something different instead so I posted them for sale. A prospective buyer is trying to ID them, and to confirm that these are indeed forged wheels like I listed. He's not local to me so he can't put his hands on them without a long drive.

I bought them used as forged, and based on the construction I never really questioned that. Honestly I probably don't know enough to state this as fact so I'd like to get some input from Hardline to confirm these are indeed forged wheels to put my, and a potential buyer's, mind at ease. I tried to look up info based on the numbers on the wheel but I came up empty.

I didn't want to cross post but I figured the weeks old sale post probably wouldn't get much traffic for the feedback I'm looking for.

These are Allied Rockathon 17x8 forged wheels to the best of my knowledge. If you can offer any other info, confirmation, etc., please do.

Thanks

One piece appear to be forged. Two piece welded doesn't specify...

In the first pic you can see the seam where the outer ring was joined (upper left of the left wheel).

I'm curious if four x Dr hasn't updated their site in a few years. The cheapest I found a forged raceline elsewhere was $570 at TWF. Not trying to justify my price, just confirming the best I can that I'm giving accurate info and any buyer gets what they expect.

Thanks for the input so far. Keep it coming

Their cast wheels are made in china, and that it stamped on the back of the wheel. Forged are made in the USA

Thanks Neal. These don't have any markings other than the numbers I posted above, and the number 7 in another spot. No "Made in X" anywhere. I'm going to call Raceline when they open and see if they have any info on the older Allied wheels. Maybe these numbers will mean something to them if they'll take some time to check for me.

Judging by the visual differences in their current cast and forged wheels they definitely look like the forged wheels. If they are you're giving someone a smoking deal on them. If I hadn't had a set of Stazworks wheels on order for 4 months ::) I would have bought them the day you posted them. They're exactly what I need for my buggy.

Figured I should follow up on this thread for closure. I got this response from Mike at Raceline after I sent in the same pics via email. Thanks for the feedback everyone provided.

This is Michael Dickerson

I looked over your pictures and yes those are forged wheel.
However we do make them a little differently now. (not that we can't custom make them)

Is there anything ells I can help you with?

I am the original seller to bgredjeep. I had talked to Greg Mulkey at raceline to confirm they were forged before I sold them. These are an older version from before they started building a one piece forged wheel. For sure a super nice set of wheels. There was also a set of six lug ones identical to these on hardline for slae.
