This is in my YJ. Obviously leaks oil.

So first off....should it have any oil even coming out of it?

Secondly, if it is OK that it seeps a little, has anyone ever capped them off and if so, how?

That looks like the speed cable. You can plug it. Or hook it up. :****:

It is. I don't have a speedo-cable to hook to it. I guess I should have said that. Which leads to another question....surely a stock YJ cable doesn't work. Is there a cable that fits the YJ Speedo and a dana 300? Or an adapter?

Don't care really to have the speedo or not, but I do care it seeps oil out onto my ****. Anyone know the size and thread of that thing to where I can find something to thread onto a cap it off? And duct tape is NOT an option.

You can use a freeze plug, just removed the speedo drive gear and tap in the plug.

Also depends on the year of the case. If its the 1981 and newer your good to hook it up. The 1980 case needs "adapters" to work with the stock yj cable.

Sorry, thought this was a recent post. My bad
