2012 jk transmission problems

I have swapped out to one tons front and rear, 513 gears ,37 kx bfgs .on the front I used the currie unit bearings so the abs and speedo is working fine .On the rear I am using the speed sensor on the 10.5 because it doesn't have abs. my problem is the auto trans wont shift out of 1st gear. I put a bully dog programmer on it to fix gear ratio and tire size but still wont shift. any ideals would be appreciated thanks

I hav a simular proplem the front sensor that goes i the diff has to be hooked up .. Did u try and swap the wires u can hook up to a code scanner and c which one is not reading. Also u mite wanna adapt the stock jk sensor to work n the sterling

All of the abs sensors will have to read the same speed, do you have a scan tool to look at each abs sensor and see what it is reading? If it is reading the front sensors are at 20 mph and the rear is at 5 mph it will never shift right.

On the 2012 and up JK's the computer reads the speed at the transmission and all 4 wheels. When the gear ratio changes it goes into limp mode cause it thinks something is broken. You'll have to get all 4 sensors reading correctly and the programmer set to the correct ratio to get it working right. You may also try contacting Dan at Dakota Customs to see if theirs another option. He was the only person able to reprogram the tranny controller before all of the tuners were available.

has any one done a 6 speed swap on a 2012 and up? looks like the way to fix the problem.

Could you splice the wires for your rear sensors into your fronts.

got n touch with dan (very nice guy) he is in the process of building a speed sensor for the tail of transfer case for 2012 and up maybe this will work.
