Looking for classic toys for my kids..... What was your favorite toy?

One of my fondest memories at my grandma's was a sprinkler set beside the trampoline so it cascaded down on it while we jumped in the summer time! :dblthumb:
This thread is all about memories. Keep em comin.

Dblthumb to you #JDlife

I was an outside kid. I didn't care for being inside. I liked my old Tonka trucks and radio controlled cars. My bicycle was probably the most used of any of my possessions. Also wore the BB gun out.

So I hate all the new toys for kids now days. Nothing to build their imagination just look at the screen and zone out. So what was your favorite toys growing up?
I still have all my old tonka toys and have added to my colection over the years now I get to enjoy watching and playn with my son in the yard building roads and all sorts of stuff. Also have all my legos also have added to that collection.
But I want for my kids is a slot car track so if anyone has one they want to sale or donate to a little boys dreams of being a race car driver I will take it off your hands.lol

Yep, that would be about the only way we'll get him one. Eliminates a lot of the risk anyways.

MODEL CARS. booyang. Lets the imagination flow once you get enough "spare parts" from several builds to start your own customizing.

This! I still build them, although not nearly as much. All of these kits started out as regular vehicles, the last one being a work in progress. Started a 67 GT500 with my 4yr old and a 29T with my 11yr old. It's cool to have a blast with the kids, sometimes it's even better to slow down, WAY down, and just build a car together.

Tamiya rc cars! Now I'm restoring 2 of my old ones from when I was a kid for kids to play with. They love them. Even the rc cars from back then I think are cooler than the ones now. I'm not talking about the scale crawlers you build. I'm talking about the traxxas rtr stuff. I just like the old kits. I remember getting a new kit and not sleeping for days because I was to busy putting it together. Here's a pic of the tamiya sand scorcher that my daughter wants and I'll have to take some pics of the old clodbuster that's getting a revamp for my son.

Yep. BB gun would be my pick. My dad said there wasn't a bird within miles of our home when I got mine. I like to kill ****. Wait wait. Don't worry, it sounds worse than it is. But I'm a crack shot with a daisy.
