Ok i picked up a set , I understand how the drivers side one mounts, I'm asuming the passengers side one is the same but it just doesn't look right. Can someone out there that has a set of these take a pic of the passenger side for me. The Instructions are only for the dirvers side.. Also they say no drilling required... I call BS... But thats not the issue here. Here's a pic of the mirrors I have.

Jon,
CJs have the windshield hinges drilled for those mounts. YJs don't, unless you have the aftermarke chromed or stainless ones. The arm that's more bent, is the drivers arm, the arm that's less bent goes on the passanger side. There is no law saying you need three mirrors (one left, one right and one rear view), so I run a drivers and rear-view only, and use the extra mirror for a spare when the drivers busts. I may have a spare window hinge at home. Let you know tomorrow.

According to the instructions the one that is more bent is for the passenger side. It's a bit short too. Plus on the box it says right side. I just need apicture of what it looks like installed. I already bought them so I'm going to run 2 mirrors, well 3. But searching on google only shows the drivers side.

well I found a few pics on Cardomain, and I guess there suppose to look like this. Kinda looks fawked up to me but, what the hell why not.

I would mount them the other way. That makes more sense to me.

But then the angle on the bar holding the mirror is upside down, and if you flip it, the angle is really fawked. I'm just going to do it like this. Tempted to just weld them on instead of drilling because I dont have a tap and dye set.

That picture is correct. You will look at the passenger side mirror through the corner of the windshield...mount it any other way and you won't be able to see it...

Thanks for confirming that, now I need to go drill.

The passanger mirror is nothing but a liability. EVERY time you go wheelin', it begs to smash a tree. Leave it off. Plus this style of mirrors are the wobblers. You get up to 25 mph, and they vibrate so bad you can hardly see behind yourself anyway. The only reason I've got them, is with full soft doors, you've no way to mount the other mirrors. If you don't want to drill and tap your hinges, I do think I've got an extra set already drilled at the house.

Well I installed them like the red CJ. Took it for a drive. They vibrate a bit, but not enough to not know there's car over there.

Too late Tony by the time you worte that I already had them pretty much done. But my dumbass

drilled the holes a hair to big, so I had dig around in my junk drawers and find some slightly bigger bolts.

I doubt I'll wrip these off, because they fold in. The stock YJ mirror's were junk. JB weld will only work for so long. :redneck:
