Decided to go do a tuff truck event down in Ethel June 3rd. Worked on the truck all day saturday getting the frontend put back together after my Reiter trip last weekend. Headed to Ethel sunday morning. Awsome day, good weather, fun course and big damage.

We got 2 runs on the course. I completed both of my runs and took second place in the Pro Modified class. However my last jump of the day, over the big finish line jump broke me good. the Jump was pretty big about a 4-5 foot hole dug in the gound the the dirt piled above the ground for the jump, a good 8-10 foot launch ramp to a flat landing. I just have pics of me on th landing and the damage, none of the actual jump. If anyone was there or anyone you know has some pics and would like to share them with me that would be awsome.

Now for the broke stuff.

Amazing how fast a thread can get off topic.

And thanks for the pics. You have an expensive repair.

I've done local fairgrounds tough trucks and mud bogs a few times. Once, I snapped the shaft from the water pump, sending the spinning fan thru the hood and tearing out all my fan belts. Very inconvienent. At least I still completed the course. Gettin' towed out AFTER breakin' parts is truly salt in the wound.

comparing a stock yota to a stock Ford 9" just shows how ignorant you are

I guess so, neither one are stamped, one is forged aluminum and the other is a cast moly, sorry jobless, what was i thinking, thanks for the confirmation:awesomework:

btw. i don't think any amount of gusseting would have saved that thing from the destruction it saw:haha:

Brilliance....:corn:

No pics of when it happened. the people who went with me only got the one of it hitting the ground. A couple people came up and showed me pics they got of it taking off and in the air. I got their emails to get pics, but have not got any replies from them.

It should actrually be a pretty cheap and quick fix to get I back and running. I had everything on the garage floor already for a total front end rebuild when I was going to put on my 6 stud knuckles. So after this I just needed a new housing and Ive already got that now for free. It'll be up and going next weekend for some more action.

looks like its time to go drink some more beer (oops pop) so you can weld them together and build a new axle housing:fawkdancesmiley: :haha:

Did the tuff truck thing a few times and best times was in a datsun b210 hatchback, kick out the windows, a pair of mud and snow tires, weld in a for point cage, and hit it so hard that the motor mounts and the hole front end brakes apart:cheer:  . Daam my back hurt for a while:haha:
