Check this out UPS dropped this off yesterday, no note or phone number. The label on the box was ripped off. Anybody have any idea how this could happen? I'm thinking the whole dam knuckle ball broke at the weld and the axle carried the load for a while and got real hot and bent. Or maybe the spindle broke. I suppose he wants me to warranty this? The bad part about this is the inner axle is a custom long side inner.

Wholey macharoni bobby :eeek: I would have to say there is a litle heat there. So since its a custom cut length I wonder if it came out of a diamond axle or something to that nature?

Yes your right. I called Brian at Front Range he said he hasn't got any calls yet.:stirpot:

Yeah right... someone elses **** broke causing damage to your perfectly good part that than most likely save their ass......:awesomework: your nuts if you replace it for free. they would have had to drive for quite a distance to bring enough heat to make the heat treat 300M sofen enough to bend.

Must have wanted to share his modern art with you...

Maybe he did. The guy didn't put his info in with it, his loss. Now that it's public anyone could call up and claim it. What's your number again Bobby? That's mine, I swear. :;

I'm thinking this clown was wheeling....HARD! ....bent the housing to the point where the axle was almost or metal to metal (around the seal area) drove who knows how many miles back to camp at speed (major heat) turned into camp with the wheels cranked, shut it off for the night, came out in the morning and **** was perma bent! Just a guess.

some had a big batch of crack and need something to stir it with, and their front end wasnt put togather yet so they used it, now they want a free bee!:awesomework:

I'm thinking you're close if not right. Whatever happened, I don't think it's a warranty eligible claim. You can't miss a chunk of steel that big buried in oil and grease getting hot enough to melt. I can imagine the associated smoke screen was quite thick.

no you can see were it was wearing on something hard and got hot.

So Bobby, Did I hear correct that some assfawk ran into your display booth and motorhome at donner? and would not fess up? Noticed you where gone sunday and wonderd why you took off. if it is true what a bunch of BS....... sure are alot of drunk idiots in the 4wd community.

Yes its true, Odie an I left Sat. night about 7pm. They was just getting started. Rigs flying up an down in the parking lot inbetween all the campers trying to do wheelies drunker than **** so we just went home.

Check any of the latest YouTube videos and maybe you'll find the live-action shot of how it happened... I'm betting on garage fire at this point.

Ya, We went to Truckee for dinner and when we got back there were dougnut marks all over the street.
Everyone was getting rowdy on the rocks on the lower side were we were camped all night. Kept us up alot.
If they would push the start time up to about 8am instead of 10(I think it was) that might help a little......but probably not.
Sorry to hear about that though.
