The Super Swamper LTBs

Has any body see or heard of these and how are they, I have read a couple of reviews but not too sure what to think. We are going to be getting a 2.5" lift and are serious about looking into bias tires. these come in the size we are looking for 34-10.5-17.

I had them on my truck for awhile and they really did good on wet sloppy trails. I thought they sucked in the snow. For me they did't ballon when I aired them down to 0psi. All in all I liked them and the road noise was music to my ears.
 
I've got the LTB's and they are great, especially for the price. Super tough, good all around wheelin tire, and the cheapest Swamper out there. Horrible on the street and not the best on slickrock but all my abuse has yet to flatten one. Discount tire will match price from ANY add you can find, so bring a magazine into the store.
 
If you drive your rig daily, be prepared to deal with flat spots every morning especially when it's cold out. If you don't know what I mean, think of the spot where the tire sits on the pavement or gravel as being the "flat spot"... and then think of that spot hitting the pavement every rotation of the tire as you drive on your merry way to work or wherever else... until the tires get warm enough and plyable enough to work out the flat spot.

Fun stuff. :D

Personally, it doesn't bother me occasionally... but it would drive me nuts on a daily driver.

Other than that, great tire for NW style wheeling.

Yes i know what flat spots are. The funny thing is Ruby is NOT my daily driver she is Rhonda`s and her daily drive is about 4-5 miles each way (giggles) not enough time to get it out. I do love the look of them.

i have them on my willys MB and there great, although they ahve a stiff side wall and my heep doesnt weigh much so i can air down too like 0 psi and no bulge lol i have the 34 9.50 size though only thing narrow enough for my jeep. Other than that there awesome work well in the conditions i have driven in (which isnt much)
 
The 34x9.50s are not LTBs. They are the old special service swamper.

My LTBs are great. They hook up on damn near everything. They are a very soft tire and will wear quick on a daily driver application, but since it's a short drive it probably won't be too bad.

They will flat spot after sitting an hour parked. No ****.
 
Too take care of the flat spot you start the rig and back it up tell the tire tread that was on the ground is now up by your fender wait 5minutes then go ahead and drive flat spot gone:awesomework: but if I was going to get new tire's I'd go with the Irock's:corn:
 
They were a really good wheelin tire, but sucked on the road. They wore out super fast, and the flat spots took a bit to get used to. The set i had air'd down awesome, had great sidewall flex.
 
I"ve had the 33 ltb and they didn't flat spot too badly with minimal air in them. Be prepared for them not lasting too long if the rig is dayly driven
 
Thank You all for your input. I think we will get these for the spring wheeling season and we may have to bring a small trailer with us to swap out the road tires for off road tires if we drive to where we wheel.
 
I had GRNTACO's Old 34 LTB's On my 4Runner for a while, they rode like hell, and were loud. I never did wheel them cuz i sold my 4runner shortly after.
 
I have a set I run in the summer time, run the 36sx in the winter...
They do flat spot, but I have been running swampers since the 80's, so I am well used to it..
The 34's are not close to a 34" tall, just a forewarning for anybody that is replacing the 34-9.5s....
I have got ok wear out of them, I don't drive my heep everyday, but it is my "daily driver".
I would never bother to trailer a set of tires out to a staging area and changing them, if you want to do that just trailer the whole rig.
They work well, I haven't had a problem with them in the snow, but have only a couple runs on those tires in the snow.
I would like to see a set of true 35-36" in a 10.5 available to run.
 
if you are only going with a 34" tire why the LTB there are much better tires out there... I would look at an MTR, mud grappler, Pit Bull MADDOG or maybe a Pro Comp Xtreme Mt... even a BFGoodrich Krawler would be an all around better tire then the LTB.
