    Is anyone actually riding?

Don't ride much if at all in the winter, just don't like the wet slop. Last trip was October, next trip is windrock in June.

    Enclosed trailer

Co-op, city dump, or if you're close to the highway, a CAT scale. IMO it's totally worth going to weigh your trailer empty and then with the buggy+gear loaded in it. You're in for a bad time if those axles are over capacity. Edit: for reference, my 28' puts 10,500# on its axles without a car...

    Crawler hauler pics

I wish mine was a 32' and not a 28', but better to be a little short when the truck is inside rather than 10' too long. 28' haulmark 8' inside wall height, domed roof. Pretty dang comfortable. This is when I got it: This is it now:

    Enclosed trailer

Have you weighed the trailer empty? 5200# axles are pretty light duty.

    What makes a good trail?

Lmao. They don't require roll cages to be on the trails in moab. Hard pass.

    What makes a good trail?

First and only time I've been on atomic Ridge was this past november. It hadn't rained for a week, but it was still so slick that the only thing you could do was winch. All of us were on 40s+ and built. A group of hill killer type buggies went up the week after us and did the same thing. That's...

    Retirement

As a guy who was told that, and came out of college making $72k a year in 2011, with 130k in student loan debt, **** that professor, and **** that. I couldn't be making less than $70k or else I wouldn't have enough money to pay rent in a MCOL area after my student loan payments went out...

    Enclosed trailer/Toy Hauler Conversion

Will earmark Rexthane, thanks for the info. Looks like it's the ticket. Was the aggregate you used @Waffle the 5020 Aggregate in the spec sheet, page 13? Covers 350-530sq/ft per gallon, which is pretty good. That's two coats on a 8.5x20 deck...

Nice build man. Did you put any insulation in the walls/ceiling?

Pulling a large trailer and not having a CDL

Some states have non-commercial Class A licenses (NC does, I have one) or RV endorsements that allow you to pull over 26k without CDL. I'd recommend looking into that in PA, because having a CDL would be a pain (logging, medical, etc.)

    Waterproof Head unit ?

Not talking about a sound bar. I should have posted an example. Since you have a head unit, you already have speakers wired I assume. I'm saying pop one of these bad boys in (it's waterproof), plug a bluetooth-aux adapter into this amp's aux port, and stream whatever you want from your phone...

    Trail Comms

Also, follow-up info, the HAM license ends at 2m 148mhz, so even licensed HAMs can't legally transmit on some of the frequencies that rugged radios use. Turns out is kind a quagmire grey-area, and a lot of the bands rugged radios use (and license?) overlap with regional municipalities, which is...

    Trail Comms

Found the frequency lists. Most (if not all) 2M/70cm radios can transmit straight to rugged radios' frequencies. Direct link to PDFs: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/nodtser80c82xzc/AACLznC_SnLGE0sveXNCyi6Ha?dl=1 Yeah, these 2M and 70cm bands require a FCC amateur's operator's (HAM) license...

    Waterproof Head unit ?

What about a headless stereo system? I got a marine waterproof whatever amp, connecting to it via aux-bluetooth dongle, and streaming from my phone. Amp powers two or four waterproof speakers.

    Trail Comms

Do we know what frequencies the rugged radios (race radios) use? It's 2m right? HAM radio is my comm of choice. Great range, cheap to get into with the baofeng handhelds. 50w cap for a mobile unit, but that's enough to get you many miles of transmission ability.
