Another Tri-Cities Rockcrawl- now with shotcrete

Hey guys, figured I would pass on the word that another competition is coming up. Im not affliated with the promoter but I figured I would pass the word on. I have been told by a reliable source that this time the rock crawl course will be constructed with shotcrete, which should be...

    Moon Rocks/Funny Rocks, anyone?

This weekend I personally, with my own eyes, watched two rangers go from vehicle to vehicle in the Manastash camground and write tickets. He came and looked at my truck and said "good thing you have one. I just checked a group of 22 rigs and none had it" I then saw him write a couple of tickets...

    Moon Rocks/Funny Rocks, anyone?

Northwest Forest pass, for parking anywhere basically. They were about $25 for a year or $5 a weekend if i remember right. Still have to pay the fee for the campground if your in one. Its a $75 ticket and they do enforce it. Really $25 a year is not that bad.

    Mudfest 2010 (Othello WA)

Be careful what you wish for. Last time a guy showed up with a WWII half track, probably weighed 10 tons. I am planning on going for the rock crawl and maybe the dirt drags, need to blow the cob webs out of the truck and check for broken stuff. I had an awesome time at the last rock crawl...

    setting up gears

Many gearsets are not marked + or -, they are just marked with the new checking distance, i.e. 3.063", which would be +.003" from the nominal 3.060". FYI I recently set up two sets of TG gears and they set up VERY easily. No idea how strong thet actually are, but set up was way easier than the...

    Tri-Cities Comp Nov. 7th

Thats an easy one. Let people park and unload their rigs, then tech them when they register. Just like drag racing and motorcycle sound checks. Problem solved.

    Tri-Cities Comp Nov. 7th

    Tri-Cities Comp Nov. 7th

I had an awesome time. The rock crawl looked easy at first but only 5 of 27 either made it through without getting stuck or breaking. A guy in a toyota truggy I think ended up having the fastest time. The event was run pretty poorly but it was thier first time putting one on. I didnt get any...

Help me build a parts list for Vortec 5.7 swap

Also, if you are going to run AN lines you will need two adapters for the fuel lines, there are the 16 and 18mm (I think) metric o-ring to AN 6. They have them at summit.

Help me build a parts list for Vortec 5.7 swap

I am running the 97' 5.7l suburban in tank pump for the last couple years and love it. Mine was about $80 and came with a sock, wiring connector and gas resistant wiring. It is super quiet, sucks at all angles, its sweet.

    Late 96 4.3 harness

You can run propane, you need an HEI distributor and edelbrock carb conversion intake. You can drop the post catalytic O2 sensors, evac system, EGR, and 4l60E controls. It is also best to get the computer reflashed, or it will have a check engine light. I am running a 99' harness and 97'...

    Tri-Cities Comp Nov. 7th

I didnt realize there were different classes for the rock crawl, interesting. I have a new spotter for this weekend, Randy and butters will probably be working together. Did you see what the tuff truck course looks like? I was thinking of trying it too. See yah Sat.

    Tri-Cities Comp Nov. 7th

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear. I know your rig and have seen you drive, although I dont think you know me. Knowing that real rock crawlers built the course makes my day. Im ready for your worst :D Everybody knows mud is for Benton City anyways :fawkdancesmiley:

    Performance Chip

Does he already have an intake and exhaust? I would start there if it is well maintained, but those performance chips arent usually worth the money. Depending on what year it is there are some good factory mopar hop up parts that are pretty cheap.

    Tri-Cities Comp Nov. 7th

Whoa, pump the brakes im a complainer not helper :flipoff: Well see what its like and maybe try and convince him to beef up the rock course in march. "Yeah just have the cornmaze around those culverts and shotcrete walls, it will be perfect" :D

    Tri-Cities Comp Nov. 7th

I am ready, not sure if I want to do the mud bogs but I always end up doing it anyway. I am definitely doing the rock crawl, I have low expectations for the course though. There are advertisements running on the radio now, should be a good time. I am going to try to swing by the course on friday...

anyone swap a 3.0 and auto to 22re 5 spd?

The reason makeing all the 85 stuff is a PITA is because alot of plugs are different by year, so even though a wire run may go to the same part, the old connector has to be cut off, new one spliced in ect. There are also lots of small differences in the 85 22re injection system and the 91 22re...
