    The Super Swamper SSR`s

I ran the 35x10.5 SSR's on my stock Toyota. Used it as a DD like that for over a year, about 300 miles per week and after a year of use, they hardly showed much wear. I enjoyed them in the snow and in the mud. I never had a issue with the sidewalls or any of the other bad habits that the...

what kind of battery setup do I want to search for?

Buy local(PNW), buy from a vendor that is into crawlers!!! http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com If you need more than what the site has, call them. They are crawlers, well, Chris is.... They like to even build custom packs built to your crawler. Take it to them and they'll build the pack where...

ORCRC 1st comp '07 series of USRCCA rules

I didn't think it was windy, but I live where it's windy everyday of the year:redneck: It was about 45* or so at 9am. The 205 Bridge location is pretty big area. The bridge itself has I think 8 lanes and a center 2-way bike lane. Lots of area to stay dry, unless you stood under a roadway...

ORCRC 1st comp '07 series of USRCCA rules

Chad... Good to see you again. You did almost too well. We can't be havin' a Worshington based person doing so well at an ORCRC event:D The courses were tougher than any previous ORCRC event. New rules went over pretty well with most of the people, some tossed some childish fits but perhaps...

    Scale Class Discussion WARCRC

Which beads? There are two sets of wheels on that rig!:redneck: I have since wacked off the Tamiya white spoke inner wheel and painted them flat black to match the Dark Impact wheels.

    Scale Class Discussion WARCRC

A FAQ on how to mount a servo? Nope. The hardest part is making sure you don't over think the install. Since this photo I have altered the servo location to aid in body mounting but since the FJ Cruiser body to toast, I'll probably move it again to give me my battery tray in which I have been...

ORCRC 1st comp '07 series of USRCCA rules

Bridge of the Gods is accross from Cascade Locks on the Columbia River, the WA side. About 3 miles into the forest on the WA side. High Rocks is our version of Moab, but minus the traction. When wet outside, High Rocks is dangerous. I'd say keep small kids on a short leash. If it is wet...

    Scale Class Discussion WARCRC

When was the last time you saw a Toyota rolling down the road with a huge black box strapped to the top of it's axle? Most 1:1 4wd rigs have a steering box mounted to the frame rail. It's not that tough to mount the servo off of the axle. Exactly. The USRCCA doesn't have a Scale Class...

    Snow wheelin', ORCRC style, pictures......

Yep. It was my 13 day build project. Easiest rig I've built ever. I could have put it together in a day but since I had less than an hour per night to work on it...... took me about 10 days to really build it. The body is going onto a shelf, again. It didn't survive the snow run very well...

Figured I'd share for the web-crawlers out there. Good times were had, even with only two of us. There was Scoot and myself that made it today.... Kyle, where were you buddy? We meet up at 9am and waited until 9:15 before heading up the road. We 1st stopped at the gravel pit under the...

    Scale Class Discussion WARCRC

Having the servos mouted to the chassis is a must. Batteries in/on chassis needs to be a must. Waterproofing needs to be a must. Fun is a must. Our scale class is about having fun without all the serious comp stress. Make rules that are very, very basic. Keep them simple. Make sure...

    Scale Class Discussion WARCRC

Not that I am a member of WARCRC, nor have I attended any competitions up your way but.....Being that ORCRC has been doing the scale thing for quite a bit now I'd like to jump in here with some of my brain bits... Chassis- Most of the rigs running in the Scale Class in the ORCRC comps run the...

    Action photo thread

Depends on who you are I guess. Some run bearings while others just use bushings. I like bearings in the knuckles as it seems to help hold things solid longer. All in all, it doesn't really matter as things are going to get nasty.:redneck: Here's another action shot, from todays...

I'd never run Clod axles in mud. Our TLT rigs run in mud and water all the time, I went 1.5 year without ever opening my TLT axle housings, they were not all that bad...still some grease was left.

What do you think about these beadlocks?

No need to buy them through RC4WD, Ryan @ Tammies Hobbies carries the wheels too. Along with every other crawler part. Last week I think Ryan had a few pairs of the narrow 2.2 beadlocks on hand, red, blue and black ringed ones.
