    Spartan in a 60

    I did pull the cover and the locker looks great. I didnt see any wear on the locker teath. the axle has had water in it so there is rust in there but the locker has none on it.

    Testing battery drain on Diesel

    I had 1 bad battery and it would drain the good one in about 3 hours.     there are parts of fire break 5 (I think 3rd section in the trees) thats NOT marked that i could not get my 83 k20 long bed through, and I did get a lot of body damage getting back out. but my fj40 on 33 or my xj on 33 make it just fine not hitting any trees.

    yup this is true as I discovered. so I might not wheel this weekend. but I will pick up the axles. how bout if I switch spiders and both axle shafts ??? I do have another 90axle that is compleate.

    Cool thanks. ya there both 10 bolts. the 83 is a 3/4ton and the 90 is a 1/2 ton. what I was told was a 10 bolt axle was the same for both.

    "E" Rated tires and Wheelin....

    tread and side wall is a little stiffer if you look at the # ratings on the D to the E its only about 200-800# diffrence in load cap. just air down more.

    I have seen the early ones with 2 wheels welded together for the dualls. they where 14" wheels
