Im having trouble finding that one also... All i did was disassemble the CV leaving the cup and stub shaft.. I had a bunch of 1350 driveshafts laying around so i cut a 1350 yoke off one leaving a few inches of tubing. I think it was 3 inch. then i turned down the cv cup until the tubing...

I bumped my thread and added a link to the photobucket account... there's pics in there of how i made the output shaft. I turned down the bell of the CV shaft and welded a yoke to it.. so far so good

my build thread is down and dirty transaxle build on here... since photobucket sucks even worse now, they've taken all my photos down... anyone know how to get them back up painlessly? I can share the album with you if you want.

there was a 3800sc transaxle buggy built on pirate and the guy had pics of how he welded the diff... I followed his lead... long story short its easiest to just pull the cap off the output toward the front of the motor and weld it while its assembled. I just did an inch or two of weld then...

I tried integrating the RAD shifter with my 4t65e and it didn't work no matter what i tried the trans went into limp mode... maybe someone else will have better luck.

Im using the winters 4 speed shifter on my 4t65e

There was a couple of large trees down across the middle section of rattle rock when we were there about a month ago. jus fyi....

my transaxle (4t65e) has something like 2.72 diff gears in the trans, the other gears are basically the same as a standard RWD trans so its very similar to a stock transfer case low range. I went ahead and put a 205 behind the transaxle to insulate the trans output from shock loads and torque...

branik 4340 in the 14b and superior foote inners up front, ten factory outers. I've had great luck with the ten factory stuff on my old rig also...

Im loving my rear engine setup. Like the others have said its a completely different strategy. As for "these buggies hate ledges"- yeah ledges aren't its strong point but most of the time i can figure out a line to make it. Only time i don't make it happens is when the breakover is real...
