    Axle tie down straps...

I did the chain thing for years and it sucks. I got a set of Macs ratchet straps and they are great. I called Macs directly to get mine, they are located in Sandpoint, ID and super nice to deal with. I do wish I had got the straps with the axle loops separate though for more versatility.

    School me on TH350's

On a 700r4 neither would I. The junkyard is full of 'K' case 4x4 700r4's. But the TH350 is older and the 4x versions are getting harder to find. I only paid $45 for the new shaft which to me was easier than hunting down a 4x4 trans and paying a higher price for it.

    School me on TH350's

If you are going to rebuild it anyways get a 2wd unit and buy a 4wd output shaft. 4wd trannys are harder to find so it can be cheaper/easier to get a 2wd tranny and buy the 4wd shaft. If you don't want to rebuild it then get a 4wd version to start with because the output shaft is the first...

    Why does a rig roll?

No I know, your first post made sense even to me. And yeah I would agree with you width has less to do with a roll than COG height. But suspension characteristics and momentum (inertia?) also are bigger factors than width.

    Why does a rig roll?

Now take momentum into account. Or one rig crawling and another rig mashing the throttle. Or one rig with stable suspension and another rig unloads and over it goes. This is fun but the math part was confusing.

    ORV Park / Skate Park

That is how I always thought a private ORV park should be set up- not open to the public but make it a private club where members pay annual dues. I think that would bypass a lot of the liability. I also think users would take better care of an area if they were paying members. It would...

    Unofficial DNR/Reiter Rocky Buggy

:haha::haha::haha: That drawing is awesome! :awesomework: and it is pretty much what I had pictured in my mind. But what is protecting the ram (and stuff back there)? As the log swings fore and aft it may raise and lower from the pendulum effect.

    Unofficial DNR/Reiter Rocky Buggy

I have seen skidders and dozers drag logs through brush and stumps and **** you would NEVER (want to) take a buggy through. In the grand scheme of dragging logs out of the woods the Sac-up trail is a breeze. Hell just drive the log truck up there. :redneck: And yes I have driven both in...

    This is interesting

That happens to the front of my YJ from time to time. Usually just flex it on something or hi-lift the frame and they pop right back.

    Unofficial DNR/Reiter Rocky Buggy

Money I think using your buggy for something like this is a bad idea. This is what they make log skidders for. Or tractors. (tread lightly, I know) That being said I would love to help you FYSU and I have 2 empty bays in the shop if you need. Welder, grinder, drills, all that stuff. As far...

If we had a local privet owned ORV park would you pay and use it

Exactly. Grants and subsidies are the only way it would survive. Be sure to state that in the business plan you show the bank.
